Good PEO for Small Multi-State Company
Overall Satisfaction with TriNet
We use TriNet for our HR related needs. TriNet assists with the onboarding, benefits research and payments to benefit vendors, payroll, and time tracking. They also track and provide reports for our financial division to be able to accurately apply the payroll related expenses to the correct GL allocation. TriNet also provides some tips and guidance on HR related issues such as wage and HR laws across different states.
Pros
- Payroll Processing accurately and timely
- Basic Time Tracking
- Expense Reimbursement (We don't use this but are experimenting)
Cons
- Time Clock More User Friendly
- On Staff Admin ability to assist employees is slightly less than I'd like. I don't like being told to have the employee contact for platform issues. I'd like to advocate more for my employees.
- Expense Reimbursement better integrated with the payroll functionality.
- Stay within HR Compliance - when the new laws about Salary change came into effect I received an email on impacted employees and how to address.
- More involvement in employee benefits. With greater benefit selection more employees were able to find plans that suited their needs.
- The TimeClock took a little time to get used to. It is still a little frustrating at times for hourly employees to be able to track how many hours they actually have for the week/pay-period. The off the clock meals count towards "hours" and employees have to subtract that out to be able to see what they need for the rest of the week.
We were not with TriNet during the COVID-19 Pandemic. There was no support.
We used a company Questco for our PEO before TriNet. I really like TriNet's platform for general HR related items more than QuestCo's. TriNet's benefit selections for our employees was a lot better as well. The timeclock with QuestCo was better.
