Overall Satisfaction with Ubiquiti Networks UniFi

Around 9-10APs required to cover all areas of office without compromise signal strength and get better connectivity.In terms of Bussiness proble we can consider Performance, Management of Wireless network,Security and integrity of internal network and user management,monitor usage by all devices or users.In terms of Scope of use case can consider seamless roaming and high throughput, Guest network Feature and VPN feature for secure remote connection.

Pros

  • While going from one floor to another getting issue of disconnectivity that is resolved by Ubiquiti Networks UniFi by Roaming feature
  • Monitoring Usage of Internet by any device is very easy that we can check in dashboard and get infomation like via which SSID device is connected, MAC address of that device also we can block any device from that dashboard.
  • User Authentication is also most imp feature that will provide security to network and avoid unwanted user to use our network.(Radius server)
  • Limit Speed for different profiles like we can resctrict mobile users upload download speed.

Cons

  • Compatibility issues when trying to integrate Ubiquiti Networks UniFi
  • devices with older hardware or legacy networking equipment so flexibility and compatibility with Third paty devices.
  • Difficult to configure features like WAN load balancing and failover so it can Improve quick support for configure this kind of features.
  • Faced issue once that after firmware update one device randomly getting restarting. so need to work on stable update for all devices.
  • There is one feature name wireless meshing that is also need to improve because due to that faced so many issues of disconnecting of network.
  • Positive Impact as said before it's cost and Easy centralize management.
  • Positive Impact: Improve Wireless performance and security features like VLAN, firewall, Taffic management , integrate Radius server.
  • Negative Impact: Firmware stability issue which needs downtime, employee and customers dissatisfaction, delay in work.
I found it has almost resolved my 90% issue as network admin, if it is about to monitor any resource or monitor network stability which all need to only configure once automatically applied to all newly added aps also automatic discover New added AP. Also getting improved signal Strength and connection.
Before using of Ubiquiti Networks UniFi we were using cisco WAP 150 series.which is not giving good signal strength and also having issue to manage 10different APs individually.so getting every day complain regarding slow internet speed sue to signal strength. we found Ubiquiti Networks UniFi where our all requirement getting fullfill like centralized management of APs, configure Radius Server on same,getting continue connectivity while going from one floor to another (Roaming facility)etc.

For Firms like hotels, Public libraries centralized management ensuring uniform guest Wi-Fi experiences and security settings it is more suitable .high performance at an affordable cost Ubiquiti Networks UniFi is more preeferred choice ove Aruba, Fortinet.ultiple locations and remote staff could use Ubiquiti Networks UniFi's VPN and security features to create a secure and unified network across offices and remote employees. Not found any reason to not use Ubiquiti Networks UniFi.
