Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro

I am the Payroll Manager. My team is responsible for processing any pay or time related items. We configure business rules related to payroll. We run standard and ad hoc reports for internal and external customers. We utilize payment services for tax filing, garnishments, and direct deposits.

Pros

Cons

  • New feature rollouts need a bit more communication/training
  • Prior year adjustments and amendments have too many steps
  • Deduction start/stop at year end stressful
  • Streamlined payroll processing
  • Reduced errors with analytics
  • Automated multiple processes
  • Audit ease
I can't really identify any more centralized functions.
UKG Pro was a lifesaver during COVID. We had RIF's and salary reductions as well as real time compliance concerns. I can't imagine having to figure those things out with another system. This definitely helped me learn a lot about payroll complexities and best practices. Also, learning about balancing taxes throughout the year helped me support Finance better.
I have used multiple HRIS over the years, and UKG is still the best!
UKG Pro for the web is so user friendly. I can't imagine going back to another system that wasn't SAAS. UKG Pro is cutting edge and always offers modern optimization.

I have always said that UKG Pro is the gold standard for HRIS! I will say in recent times it has become less reliable (401k backend snafu this year comes to mind). However, having utilized multiple platforms for HR and payroll over the years, I still prefer UKG.
