Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro)

We use UKG Pro across the whole organization. The business problems it addresses consolidating payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, employee reviews, and recruitment all in one tool.
  • Administration of benefits through UKG Pro- open enrollment, life events and electronic feeds to benefit carriers with employee changes.
  • Payroll administration.
  • Recruitment: Internal and external job postings all through Ultipro and posted out to internal postings and external company website.
  • On-boarding new hires: All through UKG Pro, background checks, new hire paperwork, etc.
  • Time Management: We are a very complex organization. We need a more advanced time management tool to link employee costs to organization GL. However, excited UKG and Kronos are now one company. Waiting on a new time management tool similar to Kronos.
  • From a cost/time perspective, it has allowed our small HR department of 10 to manage all HR functions for the entire organization without adding additional staff. We can work more efficiently using the same tool and manage all HR activities through the UKG Pro platform.
  • Streamline different department functions: payroll, HR, employee communications all through one tool.
  • Positive impact with more employees working from home, supervisors ability to approve/deny schedule requests through time management in and outside of the office has been beneficial to approve and accommodate employee schedule changes.
We decided on UKG Pro because our team came into the organization with prior experience using Ultipro. Both HR and Payroll managers were familiar with Ultipro's functions and capabilities. After reviewing other vendors listed above, we decided Ultipro was the best option. Ultipro incorporated the necessary payroll needs and HR needs in one tool. It was an added benefit that our team was already familiar with Ultipro and took less time to ramp up using Ultipro.
We have no issues with UKG Pro's performance. If there is a delay when processing payroll, UGK's customer service portal is a great tool and we get a quick response within an hour for urgent issues that need to be handled immediately. The UKG team customer service is exceptional!
The overall customer support is exceptional! As I mentioned in my previous response, when there is an urgent/time sensitive issue, UKG customer service team responds within the hour. Also, the online Customer Service Portal has a plethora of information and questions with answers from other UKG users that have helped when we have similar issues. We do not need to speak to a UKG representative because the information- issue/response/resolution is available through the Customer Service Portal.
When we switch to Ultipro, the 3rd party consultants assigned to implement and transfer over our data did not use best practices when transferring over our data from our old system to Ultipro. We were not very satisfied with services of this 3rd party vendor. Our Ultimate Software liaison connected each department representative with an Ultipro Expert consultant to resolve our issues and reviewed our entire system to ensure all of our data was correctly mapped and accessible so we could use Ultipro as it was intended for our organization. There was no deadline on the Ultipro side to make sure we were completely satisfied with Ultipro.
I would give UKG Pro a 10, but we need a better time management tool for our organization. Otherwise, UKG Pro has worked very well for our organization. Employees can access their pay information, reviews, recruitment opportunities, and benefits information all in one place. Also, employees can access this information outside of the organization through the UKG app.
