Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

We just implemented UltiPro core and payroll and are working on implementing additional modules. The core system is very easy to use for less tech-savvy individuals. The payroll process workflow is very easy to follow. Our parent company implemented UltiPro to standardize the payroll processing across all subsidiaries.

Update: we have added the ATS and performance management modules. ATS is okay but cumbersome if your environment is one component company of several. PM was very easy to set up- allows moderate level of customization to review forms.

Difficult to assess as we do not have sys admin control...changes are made without communication.
UltiPro was selected by our parent company. I believe it worked best for the diverse needs we have across the portfolio companies (various industries and international presence).
Great for US-based companies - especially small to medium sized. Still working to understand international limitations for core system. Does not support UK payroll processing.

UltiPro Training

Payroll was the easiest. Custom reports wasn't hard to learn to use but there is a lot of functionality you may not know exists without training.

Trainers are pretty knowledgeable. Classes can be slow moving depending on the number of participants and their skill level.

Yes - Payroll processing issues resolved quickly. Tax cases go to black hole.
We had an ACH file that went to the bank that did not match (Ultipro had one total on their file, but the bank said the received file was a different amount).

UltiPro Reliability

Scalability if component companies operate similarly. Challenging when component companies are diverse due to many global settings vs. company level settings.

Core/payroll system is decent. ATS needs a lot of work to allow for component-company level customization. Does not support EVerify for multiple FEINs. Cannot filter out other component company dropdown values, which is tedious with all the jobs and managers.
Not too many issues with down time. Strained during payroll processing days sometimes.
Pages load quickly. Standard reports load quickly. Custom reports can take a little longer. Runs off IBM Cognos- can build custom fields using logic.
