Overall Satisfaction with Upside Business Travel

Our company uses Upside Business Travel across the organization to streamline travel purchases, including flights, rental cars and hotel rooms.
  • The customer service is fantastic - you can call and get help from a live person immediately.
  • Great follow through - they check up and make sure everything went well.
  • As an assistant, it would be nice to see features that focus on booking for other people - for instance, I would like to be able to save user information and simply select them rather than having to enter their information each time. Or be somehow linked to their account so they can update information as needed and I can use their profile to create trips.
  • It's much easier to be able to send employees to the same website and know that they're getting the best price, rather than having them do research on their own.
  • Having a company to contact about travel issues, rather than having to handle them internally is a great help as well.
I've used Concur and Egencia in other companies. Upside is more user-friendly than Concur, which can sometimes be complicated with the number of menus you have to go through. It's so far ahead of the experience I had with Egencia, I can't even describe it. Egencia's customer service was hit or miss - to the point of being a running joke among the assistants. I've never had a problem with Upside's customer service.
Like I've said, the customer service is top rate. Every person I've talked to has been friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

I've used other big name solutions before, but Upside's customer service is really what puts them head and shoulders above the rest. I don't worry about getting someone who has no idea what they're doing when I call Upside - whoever I get is going to be able to answer my questions and get my issues sorted out. That's a huge help.

Using Upside Business Travel

15 - Mostly sales and executives for travel to conferences or business meetings.
1 - One or two users who are familiar and can answer questions is great, but even without that, I don't think we would have any problems using Upside.
