Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint

We use WatchGuard AuthPoint to lockdown remote access into our network and have had great success with the software. We have used multiple other MFA software(s) and so far AuthPoint has been the most reliable and easiest to set up for end users. We re-sell to our clients and have easily been able to push out the AuthPoint deployment with great success.
  • Easy end user setup
  • Reliable push notification
  • Management interface could use improvement to make it more intuitive.
  • We would like to see the ability to initiate an authentication push to the app to verify the user's identity.
  • Affordable investment to help lockdown remote access
AuthPoint works better than a lot of it's competitors, however there is room for improvement. We selected AuthPoint being a Watchguard partner and have been satisfied enough that we have migrated away from all other MFA solutions where possible.
To access the management interface is simple, however the navigation through the portal to configure and deploy the software is not intuitive and could use improvement. I have also had mixed experience trying to do group sync to local active directory, however about half of my deployments can't read the groups. Support has been unable to identify why, and we have had to do advanced searches to sync selected users.
We have had great response by end user with the deployment and use of the AuthPoint mobile application. Migration to new mobile devices is simple for end users to complete without IT support if they can find the migrate option.
The Idp Portal helps to make SSO authentication simple for end users. I have received positive responses from my end users with the ease of accessing the site and simplicity of only having to authenticate once.
I have had several instances of issues that I have had to reach out to support and have had a mixed result of knowledgable support. I had issues during my initial deployment where I could not get users to sync to AuthPoint and contacted support. It took about 3 hours on multiple calls to finally get a solution.

Do you think WatchGuard AuthPoint delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with WatchGuard AuthPoint's feature set?

Yes

Did WatchGuard AuthPoint live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of WatchGuard AuthPoint go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy WatchGuard AuthPoint again?

Yes

WatchGuard AuthPoint works great to lockdown remote access for corporate networks. The IDP login portal also make SSO integration to common applications easy.

If you are like us and service other clients, it does not work as a method to verify users' identity. It would be great to add the feature like Duo has to verify identity for support teams.
