Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint

We use AuthPoint to secure all user logins to the corporate network as well as LOB applications and portals. If MFA is an option for a login we enable it and use the AuthPoint app for OTP management. MFA with AuthPoint is a key core component of our security posture.
  • Push notification for login confirmation - works very well and is easy to use.
  • Simple process to add accounts for OTP management.
  • The overall setup and implementation of AuthPoint is straightforward and has a low barrier to entry both from a technical perspective as well as the user experience.
  • Whilst individual tokens can be secured, I like to see the AuthPoint app itself able to be secured such that FaceID (or other credentials) are required to access the entire app.
  • The ability to change the order of the tokens, and customise the name and image, is great. Being able to set up a grid view would be useful for those of us with a lot of 3rd party tokens in it. Then tapping on the particular icon can expand to show the OTP.
  • This product is not really about an ROI, but instead it's about providing an additional layer of security for user identities and the corporate network.
AuthPoint protects both cloud/app logins as well as, and most importantly, our corporate login (Active Directory based). WatchGuard AuthPoint gives the option of using hardware OTP tokens for corporate network login, as well as the mobile app which is simple to use, customise, and is extensible to other MFA services.
Some of the other products we looked at only provide cloud and application protection, without the tie-in with Active Directory, which was critical for us.
Using a product developed by WatchGuard also gave us great comfort knowing they are a security focused organisation, so security will be at the core of the product itself.
AuthPoint's "cloud first" design approach means it's convenient for us to setup and manage from any location without needing to purchase hardware or have any other barriers to implementation. Whilst we can use hardware tokens for user authentication, we prefer the convenience and flexibility of the mobile app. This all means it was a rapid and straightforward deployment for the entire team.
The use of the mobile app was readily embraced by the entire team and has presented no barriers at all for the deployment and use of AuthPoint.
This has resulted in users not having to think up poor passwords for their logins, which they often reuse. This has taken away some of the "sting" that users can tend to feel when they need to improve their security. I am personally a fan of using a password manager to manage and secure my credentials, and layer in MFA everywhere possible. Sharing this knowledge with others has made it easier for them to adopt a more secure means of managing their various online identities.

AuthPoint is simple to use from both a technical perspective as well as the user experience. Protecting corporate network login is simple and straightforward and provides a great level of peace of mind when it comes to ensuring my identity remains secure.
In addition the ability to use AuthPoint in place of other MFA apps (like Google Authenticator) means I don't need to have a lot of different apps installed to manage my MFA security - the one app covers so many different scenarios, and the ability to customise the name & logo makes identifying the particular OTP I'm looking for very easy.
