Overall Satisfaction with Webex App

We use Webex daily for internal company meetings. The use of Webex has increased dramatically since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, as our work model has become almost 100% working from home. In addition, all business travel for internal meetings was strongly discouraged, so Webex became the default way to hold large workshops and cross-functional meetings
  • Allows for small or large meetings
  • Provides easy telephone access (if an internet connection is not optimal)
  • Integrates with Outlook's calendar well
  • Video conferencing
  • Integration of chat with video
  • Mobile app not as good as PC app
  • Allows for faster communication
  • Enables a work from home environment
  • Increases global interactions
Compared with Webex, Microsoft Teams has a more intuitive interface and better integration with Outlook. My organization was using Webex before the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to use it, but we are piloting Microsoft Teams and may change out default meetings software depending on the outcome of the pilot evaluation.
The support is good, and I have always received the help I needed in a timely manner.

Webex is reliable and the basic features are good. But when I want to hold workshop breakout sessions and whiteboarding discussions, I feel Microsoft Teams and Zoom have a better user interface and are more intuitive.
Webex is reliable for internal company meetings, both large and small. But its interface and functionality are not as good as other video-capable meeting software. Both Zoom and Microsoft Teams are more intuitive and easier to use, especially for any features beyond audio conferencing like white boardings, breakout rooms, etc.

Cisco Hybrid Work

  • Working from anywhere (e.g., coffee shop, airport)
  • Working from an office or other company space
  • Working from home
My company implemented a hybrid work-solution for 100% of global employees (10,000+ total FTEs) in January 2021. All employees are allowed to work from any location (within their country-of-hire only due to taxation reasons). We have some of our physical offices open if anyone wants to go into the office. On average, anywhere between 10-30% of employees go into the office on any given day. All emloyees use Webex software to communicate online, including for meetings.
As expected, some employees feel disconnected from others and very isolated at home. This is especially true for those new to the company, or new to their teams. The informal transfer of information (water cooler conversations) definitely has value and this became impossible for emloyees working from home. Some employees also felt like they were always plugged-in, working much longing hours than they would have prior to a hybrid work environment.
Webex has become an essential part of my comapny's daily work routine. I use it daily to communicate with team members from around the world. Prior to the pandemic, Webex was simply a helpful tool, but now it indispensable. My colleagues hold all meetings and send each other chat messages via Webex.
We have experienced a wide range of expected and surprising results. Most employees are supportive of the hybrid work model since it allows for much greater flexibility and work life balance. This is especially true for those who have late night or early morning meetings with global colleagues. But many feel isolated working from home and crave in-person interactions. We have not seen a loss of productivity.
WebEx has a much simpler interface than similar remote meeting tools like MS Teams and Google Meets. WebEx also has a good balance of ease of use and extra features. The learning curve is much steeper with MS Teams, which is why my company decided to leverage our existing base of WebEx users and make it the default remote meeting software.
