Overall Satisfaction with Webex App
We use Webex App for everything communications related. We have permanent group chats for my UX team, we have sub-group chats with specific designers and crossing with research and content, we have group chats with dev teams and their corresponding product roles (design, product, BAs), we have temporary teams for one off cases. Of course we also use it for video calls.
Pros
- Highlighting new responses to old threads
- Flagging messages (privately) and then having a separated filter only for flagged messages, so you can followup easily
- Markup for messages
- Shortcuts for filters
Cons
- In my experience, it's incredibly slow in Mac, clunky performance
- Consumes a lot of processor, sharing screen and my camera at the same time heats my Macbook Air like crazy
- In my opinion, horrible screen capturing tool
- Confusing app Settings
- Good impact on searchability of past messages
- Good impact on following up past conversations (through flagging)
- Bad impact on threading discussions for focus
- Bad impact on screen capturing (horrible tool)
- Webex Meetings
- Microsoft Teams, Slack and Google Chat
In my opinion, Webex App is better than Teams and GChat in searching and filtering, but equal to Slack.
In my opinion, Webex App is extremely worst at screenshooting than all the other tools, as well as worst in threading than all those tools.
In my opinion, Webex App is equal to GChat in advanced settings for bandwith (video quality and others) but better than Teams and Slack.
