Overall Satisfaction with Webex Calling

We have started using it in our call center environment as a replacement for desk phones for our work from home users. Covid brought on the use for application type phones so we can remain in touch with our employees and doctors across our multiple campuses. Our medical staff utilize this for remote teaching as we are a teaching hospital.

Pros

  • Call connectivity
  • Enhanced mobility for remote users
  • Call center operations
  • Nursing and doctor care improvement

Cons

  • Need to push jabber use out of the picture
  • Seamless connection from Wi-Fi to cellular
  • Easier setup
  • Easier maintenance on the back end
  • We have removed our server footprint from our international offices
  • India office operates much smoother on cloud+based telecom
  • We have eliminated Teams as an option for communicating
We have collapsed Teams and Zoom operations into Webex Calling in order to streamline operations across our platform. We are working to connect our on-prem premise telecom operations with Webex Calling. Although we are not looking to replace our on-prem solutions, Webex Calling offers us options for those that do not want a hard phone on their desk or in their office.
We are always seeking options to better our secure communications. Use management is simplified with LDAP sync…BUT… to manage a user, you need to manage them on Webex Calling AND on the on-premise setup , making for some double work being done in order to maintain one user. Meeting connectivity is great because you don’t have to keep opening Outlook to connect to your meetings.
The calling features are choppy and not reliable. The audio drops and they offer limited federation setup making it more difficult to connect with other outside your organization. We need to reach vendors, engineers, doctors, ruses, etc that are not always part of our organization Zoom and Teams will not allow of inter app connectivity.

Do you think Webex Calling delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Webex Calling's feature set?

Yes

Did Webex Calling live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Webex Calling go as expected?

No

Would you buy Webex Calling again?

Yes

It is well suited for remote users and staff that are always on the go. I like the facet that you can use it and not pass along your cellular phone number if you do not want outside contacts to have it. SNR works great too if you do not want to use the Webex app.
