Overall Satisfaction

Xactly is administered by the Commissions department to route compensation plans and calculate commissions. It is also used by the entire sales force to review their bookings and commissions payments. It makes commissions calculations easier because several sales people and managers are paid on the same orders, so the bookings are more efficiently credited across the team.
  • It allows the sales force real-time visibility to their bookings results and commissions. If they review their commissions early in the month, it allows us to be proactive in making any necessary corrections before the close of the incentive period.
  • There is the ability to automate data transfers from your ERP/CRM systems to Xactly Incent using the DELTA module. The advantage of this is it eliminates the need for manual Excel upload files, and reduces errors that can occur in any manual process.
  • There are too many mouse clicks required to navigate through the tool.
  • COGNOS module is very slow in producing payroll reports, especially early in the month when so many people are using the system at the same time.
  • The commissions analysts on our team are able to provide much better service to the sales teams. Xactly allows for real-time visibility to sales results, and enables us to answer their questions easily and efficiently,
  • As commissions analysts we are more efficient since the Xactly tool provides proper crediting (if comp plans are setup correctly) of orders and does the commissions calculations for us.
Xactly is much more user-friendly and less complex. At my previous company where we used Callidus, we had to hire outside consultants to implement the new sales comp plans every year. With Xactly, analysts can be trained to add new rules, formulas, etc. to modify the comp plans at the start of the year. Xactly was already being used here when I started at this company.
I do not have the authority to make the decision to renew the Xactly contract. However, if given the opportunity to offer feedback, I would definitely opt to. It makes calculating commissions so much simpler and efficient!
It is definitely well-suited for companies with large sales organizations and a variety of comp plans because the plan setup allows for ease of crediting to each sales rep for all of the bookings.
