Use it to report and monitor closed sales, commissions, quota attainment, SPIFFS, and all related information
- Provides comp reports that make sense of complex comp plans
- Enables me to easily slice/dice sort reviews to view month, YTD, recent, etc
- My company "cheats" and sometimes manually just dumps things into a SPIFF bucket, I feel the Xactly tool could provide more flexibility to enable custom comp buckets
- Lets a salesperson know when it is time to "drain the tank", accelerate, maybe pull in deals from future quarter, etc.
Identified ways to up com comp by attaining certain uplift kickers. example: we have a trigger for additional comp at 6.1% uplift, so I negotiate hard to get my uplifts to that threshold
From my perspective, all I see are the comp calculations. I do not know how we use the solution more broadly
Salesforce feeds Xactly with closed/won. Quota is also fed in and it provides assessments that enable real-time strategy and tactical decision
