Overall Satisfaction with Zapier
We use Zapier to connect many of our core SaaS apps to Google, especially Sheets, and create new workflows regularly to aid the business. Many of the instantiations of Zapier allow previously unconnectable apps (e.g. Filemaker and Google Sheets) to connect seamlessly. Additionally, it is used by multiple departments across the organization for alerts to indicate conclusion of a workflow (e.g. New Hire and Termination approvals, et al).
- Zapier allows for auditable alerting of workflows.
- Zapier allows end users to connect multiple apps together to produce an outcome.
- Zapier has a deep integration base with Google apps, our primary ecosystem.
- I have only one request for Zapier and that is to provide better insights into how the rest of my organization is using this application for our domain. It is hard to fully audit who is using it and for what since accounts are very easy to create at a freemium level.
- Zapier costs $50/month and we receive a 50-100x multiplier in terms of business value from Zapier. It is almost impossible to calculate the immense value in return from some of our most used workflows in Zapier. In many cases, we do not even use the built in workflows for enterprise apps like OFC and SFDC because Zapier does a better job.
They are more or less the same in terms of functionality but I think the overall Zapier company ethos sets it above IFTTT and the developer community around Zapier shows a deeper commitment towards its innovative expansion. Beyond that, one could literally use both in their environment and more or less achieve the same result.
