Overall Satisfaction with Zoom

Zoom is a part of our business. We are a remote company, and we use Zoom and Slack to keep our team connected. From meetings with the team, working with our clients, to training and troubleshooting with our customers... Zoom is our go to tool. We cannot go back to Skype.
  • Web conference
  • Group meetings
  • One-on-one meetings
  • Screensharing
  • Clarity when there's network issues (not enough info when there's a network issue)
  • Mobile app is terrible
  • Web chat is bare bones. It resets for new people joining
  • Signing in takes about 30 seconds
  • Saved us from Skype
  • Immediate collaboration
  • Team closeness
We use different Zoom rooms for each department. We have a ops room, a course room, a education room. We also have a family room for those quick one off meetings.

We also use breakout rooms for our students to separate a large group into smaller brain teams.
There's no competition. Skype is a absolute mess. Constant updates, a pain to join a call, wants to be some social media platform, and dropped connections.

Google Hangout is also a pain. Must have a Google account. Doesn't stream very smoothly.

Join.me is the nearest competitor. But it's slow and clunky.
If you need to chat with someone remotely, Zoom is it. You give the other person a link, and in less than a minute - you're talking. So many of our customers and clients now use Zoom because of how easy it is.

Using Zoom

15 - Meetings and touch points
You need to know what a computer is. You also need to know how to click a link in order to join a Zoom room.

Zoom makes it that freaking easy for you to have a call with someone.
  • Meetings
  • One-on-one
  • Live troubleshooting
  • Using Zoom to teach a classroom
  • Using Zoom to have a virtual retreat for the organization
  • Using Zoom for major team meetings
Because every other conference tool is expensive, bloated, or fails to make it easy to just have a call with someone.

Using Zoom

Because Zoom is so easy, I'm starting to use it for family calls with my grandmother.

Yes - The mobile app is functional. It connects just as easy as the desktop version. But the hardest thing about the Zoom app is the chat. You're swiping multiple screens to get there.
