I would recommend 6sense as a 10. I really don't have any major faults with the tool. I can't imagine being a marketer in this day and age and not having a tool like 6sense. If a team doesn't have it, even if you're a small team, I think it can be a game-changer. I would say areas where this product is well-suited are organizations where sales and marketing teams need better alignment. If you have sales teams that need help prioritizing the right accounts—meaning ICP accounts that are showing intent—then 6sense is a tool you should definitely look into. If you have old-school sales teams that are just kind of winging it and picking accounts they feel they should be working without having data behind those decisions, 6sense can help bring much-needed focus and prioritization. Where it may not be the best fit is if you're a very small company and you're not yet at the point of doing account-based marketing. If you're a one-person shop with a single marketer or a single salesperson, you probably don't need ABM yet—you need to grow a little bit first. But that would really be my only callout.

Metadata is well suited when you have a really large ad budget (>50k per month at least). This is because the power of metadata lies in the ability to quickly set up and run a large number of experiments (combinations of channel, audience, creative, and conversion assets). To evaluate these variations, all of them need a large number of impressions, clicks, and conversions to be statistically relevant. If your budget is smaller, you will either have a very small number of experiments (not fully utilizing the power of metadata), or your experiments will not have enough clicks to make informed decisions. We had expected a better explanation of this from metadata before signing up.

  • Example: It shows which companies are searching for topics like our product. We give the SDR team a list of accounts to call first.
  • It shows intent even when no one fills out a form.
  • Example: An account may not submit a demo form, but 6sense still shows it is active and viewing related topics. This helps us reach out earlier.
  • It triggers actions for the team.
  • Example: If an account suddenly spikes in intent, we can alert the account owner, create a task, or start a sequence right away.

  • Attribution: see influenced & triggered opportunities/CW deals
  • Multivariate testing: Metadata scales audience, ad, creative testing so you learn what performs much faster than manual process

  • I would love to see more academy and certifications, availability, I think some easier, faster, easy, digestible courses to jump in. Certifications are great but they're very much focused on just those two certifications, so maybe more of a specialization focus on that side as well as some ways to kind of do a quick easy onboarding for first time users or those who have 6sense within their organization but don't know how to jump in and use it right away.

  • If you don't have a large budget and audience it's hard to meaningfully optimize. If I have 4 ad creatives, to 2 audience groups on FB and LinkedIn, that creates 16 experiments, each of which needs an ample enough budget, say $40/day, that's now $640 per day or $19K per month.
  • Limited ability to edit ads after they've been launched. You usually have to stop the ad, clone it, and launch a new campaign.
  • Can't add new ads to existing campaigns which limits the ability to optimize. If I start an MD campaign with 4 ads, and in a few weeks we see that one is working well and the other 2 are not performing, I can pause those (or it can autopause by rules), but I can't add 2 more new creatives to the mix against the high performer. I'd have to either stop the high performer, and recreate it in a new campaign (losing likes and comments), OR - leave the high performer in the first campaign, and create. a second campaign with the new ones, which will only optimize against each other.
  • Limited to a single conversion event on a landing page. I'm not able to choose either a Demo Request OR a Sign-Up conversion, I can only choose one.
  • Google search ads are doable but aren't necessarily more feature-rich or easy-to use than native, so there's no value added to doing it through Metadata in my opinion aside from unifying ad reporting.

I love the tool, it makes everything we do more powerful and accurate. I'd shout it from the rooftops any day of the week. Using this tool will take your marketing efforts to the next level, no matter where you're starting from. No need to have prior experience with the tool for it to work for you

I gave this rating because I’ve spent hours upon hours training reps on 6sense. A lot of my trainings have been successful and the reps are now using the tool correctly. With that, I think the usability is overall strong. It isn’t complex once it is learned by the rep or admin, just takes some practice.

We hardly needed any support but in the initial days we got some had to contact support for the product understanding, the suppor t was prompt and they were very quick to resolve any issues. The support team is very helpful and gives a lot of importance to unresolved issues.

We chose [Metadata.io] because it was a smaller company and could get more personalized attention. The price was better and they seemed more eager to support us. The feature set was what we were looking for and not more - it was exactly as robust as we needed it to be. Didn't want to pay for features we weren't going to use.

  • Opportunity conversion, definitely increased opportunity, conversion rates and very high deal size. The size of the deal that is touched by marketing and engaged in 6sense paid media campaigns is proportionately increased versus if they were just an inbound or if they were just work by sales.
