Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud vs. Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365

The services are easy to learn and manage. The support team is very competent and resolves my issues that come s up easily. As a business partner, they are proactive in offering solutions and help to improve what we are doing. They are always there for engineering solutions that we are not sure how to do.

Incredible tool for quickly setting up entire site backups for Microsoft 365 and Azure. One admin can support hundreds of user accounts easily, restoring files and emails takes minutes. Wording on how features work could be a bit more clear and the interface could do a bit more to have some tutorials baked in.

• The website is pretty slow and will kick you off sometimes. I know they are working on this. For now, this is the biggest problem we have with Acronis.
• Their support team isn't great. It can take a while to get an issue resolved, although issues do not happen frequently.

• Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 touts "fast" backup and restore capabilities. Our initial backup took several weeks to complete.
• You have to configure to receive outage notifications. Before doing this we only received notifications that the backups had failed.
• Documentation can be a bit confusing.

They recently raised the pricing for backup usage and our price has nearly doubled. It is still lower than some other vendors, but we might review other options before renewing next year.

Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 just works so well and is so easy to use. I researched multiple options for Office 365 backup and none seemed to be as easy to setup and use as Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 and the pricing was very comfortable to us. I can't imagine any reason why we would change away from Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365.

The platform is quite intuitive and centralizes many functions into a single console, which facilitates the daily management of all clients. However, some sections—such as the RMM, security audit reports, or the Awareness service—could be more comprehensive to enhance the overall experience. Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is very easy to use. You configure it, and it works. Reports can be configured to provide indepth details on backups and user licenses. I don't have to get into the panel unless I need to restore a backup. It has been a breeze to manage.

We have a lot of data, and pulling backups out of the store sometimes takes a bit of time - but this is within acceptable tolerances. I don't expect restores to be instantaneous, and I can't quantify if the speed is software or data repository.

Support has been helpful when we have had to reach out. We have not had to contact support that much so I do not have much feedback on them. I met the support team at the Cyber Summit and they are all very nice, smart individuals.

The setup support we received was extremely helpful. They allowed us to learn as they created the policies and managed the handoff between setup and guided setup very well. This resulted in active, usable policies and us having the knowledge to adapt these as our needs change in the future.

Price! All the services have low entry points and then hit you with big fees. Acronis Advanced Backup provides better management and control of your cost then the other services we evaluated. We have tested a number of solutions not on the list that have are price competitive, but the support was lacking.

Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is simpler to use then each alternative I've tried. Besides Synology, it's also the most cost effective. I also appreciate Veeam includes pricing on their website so I don't have to fill out a form or call someone. I don't like having to wait for a sales team to get back to me, and I don't want to have to deal with them after I decided on another product.

• We have been able to further develop our customerbase and and more MSP as our partners
• Overall the recurring revenue coming from Acronis, will help us to increase revenue and margin, without investing in new hardware and save on energy-cost.
• It is time consuming to implement Acronis into our system and train our employees. With this there is also cost involved, but we believe in the long-term investements we make here.

• The only real impact is from a compliance standpoint. Our company is expected at a regulatory level to be protecting our data and even though the tenant has little traffic there could still be some regulated data in there. We have to be able to tell an auditor that it's being backed up by an enterprise grade solution, and that's what VDC was intended for.
