Overall we are happy with what Acronis is offering us, both as a use and a Value Add Resellers. The fact that there is one portal to onboard customers and select services is exactly what we were looking for. Now we are working on the Multi Tenant version, so we can also White Label Acronis towards our customerbase. We have not yet found any scenario's where Acronis can not offer any benefits. We do hear that the pricing for the storage is often to high versus competition. This applies to the Acronis data center storage, yet also the structure of Workload/per TB combination towards other Cloud vendors. (mainly the 3 largest Hyper Scalers) Compared to other Cloud storage solutions, these cost should be lower, so it will be easier to explain to customers to come and join Acronis in the cloud, instead of doing local back-ups or use solutions like DropBox, BackBlaze, PureStorage, Wasabo Hot Cloud Storage, Cloudian and more.
The software tends to do a good job of basic protection but is not the best for larger clients and is not as powerful as some others offered on the market today. The support is not the best either, have had a hard time getting assistance in the past trying to resolve issues.
They recently raised the pricing for backup usage and our price has nearly doubled. It is still lower than some other vendors, but we might review other options before renewing next year.
Overall, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is powerful and effective. The platform has user-friendly features and a centralized dashboard that simplifies management across multiple clients. This platform integrates backup, recovery, and security features effectively, all in one. It makes our lives easier.
Webroot Endpoint Protection has been great for us, as its simple, cloud-based management console allows us to quickly deploy easily monitor all of our endpoints. However, it could improve by offering more customizable reporting options for deeper insights into security events and the interface could also use some updating, as it feels a bit dated.
Can be slow to respond at times, but they will be able to help you get to a resolution fairly quickly. We have not com across an issue they were unable to fix. Have found that they will generally start by trying to send you links to KB articles, so if you need help directly, you can send KB's that you have looked at already to bypass the back and forth.
Support has been reliable up to this point. A request can easily be generated via the console and support responding in a reasonable time. We have not had any major issues other than the basic agents not communicating with the console and the like.
I had some difficulties with remote users. I ended up needing to open a remote tech support session and finish the process. Other than a few speed bumps, I was impressed with the engineering of the install. Because of time differences, I was done installing in two days. The cost, per license, could be less.
An organization might choose Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud over Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup for several reasons: Comprehensive Protection: Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud offers a more comprehensive solution that covers data protection, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery. If an organization requires an all-in-one solution to manage both backup and security, Acronis is a better fit. Diverse IT Environment: If a business operates in a diverse IT environment that includes physical, virtual, and cloud components, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud's broad platform support makes it more suitable. Enhanced Cybersecurity: Organizations that prioritize advanced cybersecurity features and AI-driven threat detection capabilities might find Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud a more robust solution in this regard.
Webroot is good in a way that it is an all encompassing solution one stop shop for protecting endpoints but it needs to be managed and licensed. Some users do not need constant protection or need to have it on their machines in where the combination of Field Effect and Malwarebytes is more effective.
The licenses are pretty expensive but less costly than an actual malware infestation.
We have tremendous peace of mind knowing that our machines and communications are secure.
Our IT consultants are a little more involved in day-to-day management than they were before deploying Webroot Endpoint Protection, which means an increase in cost, but again this is a fair price to pay for protection against Internet threats.
