Great Protection and Low Overhead
Overall Satisfaction with Webroot Endpoint Protection
Having many remote users, I need a security solution that keeps up with my users on the go. Having to protect against and ever growing number of threats, keeps IT struggling to stay one step ahead. When an IT department is tasked with protection for so many mobile devices, the burden can feel unbearable. Webroot is a very lightweight package that does not consume resources like others I have tried. It allows users to move between devices with confidence.
Pros
- Stays active without consuming heavy resources like memory and CPU.
- Stays updated without intervention and crashes.
- Stops threats before they enter.
Cons
- Management console can be slow to load when using from mobile devices.
- Mobile app would help with management.
- Deployment was challenging for some remote workers.
- Automatically detects and blocks so less tech labor is needed.
- Have not had a ransom attack which can be a huge cost.
- A greater peace of mind from all users equals more productivity.
- Resources are guarded 24/7.
Microsoft Defender is very different from Webroot Endpoint Protection. To explain, Webroot Endpoint Protection must be installed locally for all devices. Microsoft has a local installation for Defender for Windows PCs. What is different is how Microsoft Defender runs on the Microsoft Exchange level as well. This makes it difficult to compare the two.
