Considered Both Products
Adobe Connect
Chose Adobe Connect
We ultimately ended our use of Adobe Connect due to continued issues, lack of resolution & loss of participants. Currently we are using Microsoft Teams as it is our primary communication tool at our organization.
Chose Adobe Connect
Adobe Connect comes in last place compared to the other platforms. Aesthetically it is very outdated and does not seem as modern as compared to the other platforms.
Chose Adobe Connect
Adobe Connect is among the more robust and feature rich tools available. I don’t think any of the other tools match that. If it fits your needs, you can’t beat it. If you just need more simple capabilities, there are probably easier and better options for basic use. It has a …

Chose BlueJeans Meetings (discontinued)
I used Adobe Connect for several years with another client for training purposes. We had some trouble with response time, bandwidth, and user functionality. More recently I've used Zoom -- and continue to use it with other clients. I find BlueJeans and Zoom comparable. Both are …
Chose BlueJeans Meetings (discontinued)
Select Blujeans Meetings because it allows me to better convey my ideas and at the same time build trust through real-time videoconferences. As well as sharing documents and presentations via screen sharing, I love the option to record play and then share the recording to …
Chose BlueJeans Meetings (discontinued)
BlueJeans is reasonably close to Zoom. I do not have a paid account with Zoom, so I prefer BlueJeans when setting up a scheduled meeting. The app is very intuitive and feels relatively non-invasive. I like the phone-in service provided. We have used this quite a lot for …
Chose BlueJeans Meetings (discontinued)
Easier to schedule meetings in BlueJeans, and far easier to automatically record and share webinars, compared to Adobe. I don’t use Cisco Webex much since it is inferior to Adobe.
Chose BlueJeans Meetings (discontinued)
BlueJeans is far easier to use for web conferencing and recording meetings than the competition. I also appreciate that BlueJeans allows users to select audio from the phone and that it will call you rather than having to dial a specific number to join a meeting, which I've …
Chose BlueJeans Meetings (discontinued)
From the three that I listed, my personal favorite for me to use is Zoom, but supporting other users I prefer BlueJeans because it is the easiest to maintain from an IT standpoint. If a user is unable to connect from the meeting link, the meeting ID and passcode are embedded in …
Chose BlueJeans Meetings (discontinued)
bluejeans is superior for video meetings but more expensive than some competitors.
Chose BlueJeans Meetings (discontinued)
BlueJeans is similar to the other platforms--AdobeConnect will record as well. The three other platforms are clunky and not as user friendly. I have been researching Zoom because the price is considerably cheaper. I connected to a meeting with a partner yesterday using Zoom and …
Chose BlueJeans Meetings (discontinued)
Bluejeans is faster and has better audio quality. It is also easier to use.
Chose BlueJeans Meetings (discontinued)
BlueJeans was easy to deploy to users and the Command Center allows for admins to troubleshoot and track issues.
Chose BlueJeans Meetings (discontinued)
Its focus on video first, the ease of use, stability, audio and video quality, and ability to integrate with other programs made bluejeans stand out above the rest. We prioritize relationships above all else, and we couldn’t find a platform more aligned with our culture and …
Chose BlueJeans Meetings (discontinued)
BlueJeans is by far the best tool I've used for meetings. It's easy to connect, we can hear each other, I don't need additional software, and it's so quick to get a meeting set up. I've used ones built into hardware, I've used ones where you need weird little plugins, I've used …

Adobe Connect is wonderful for repeatable branded learning experiences or webinars. They allow for creating an event with a series of similar layouts. The ability to alter these are easy, and duplicating layouts makes for fast alterations. Changing between layouts also creates visual interest as learners see things shift. Adobe Connect also is great for accessibility, the captions allow for resizing and placing the captions in various sections. The recordings also can have a searchable transcript to get to the information you want fast. Adobe Connect allows for running fun games/events as well, there are lots of apps that make the experience unique, and allows for managing content on screen as you'd like.

  • Collaboration with team members, clients and partners who spread out across the globe is made simple by Bluejeans meeting. As an Application developer it is easier for me to collaborate with people from various cultures and time zones so this is very important.

  • Pair programming is a great use for it. It make possible for two programmers to collaborate on same code even when they are not physically near to each other.

Pros
Adobe
  • It's a quick method to exchange files, file, documents, and videos from a web app. Real-time conversation, and screen-sharing are all supported. It has a highly user-friendly interface. It is really simple to assist the teams.
  • Even team engagements is beneficial since it allows them to share their expertise with others, and the big benefit is the security of the rooms' access is fairly simple to manage.
  • The interface, which include features like notes, chat, pods, etc. When we're trying to gather rapid and exact information, simplify our work as much as possible.
  • Adobe Connect's features since they allow team members to express their ideas during meetings without causing disruptions, thereby bypassing the current international boundary of distance.

  • Bluejeans' ability to record meetings would be beneficial for future references like If I ever needed to revisit a discussion or training sessions, I could access the recorded content, eliminating the need to take extensive notes during meeting.
  • Calendar program and messaging services are just a couple of the productivity and collaboration tools that Bluejeans frequently integrates with, scheduling of meeting and team members communication would become more efficient as a result.
  • Typically, bluejeans provides mobile app, making it usable on tables and smartphone, this enables me to take part in a meeting even if I am not near a computer system.

Cons
Adobe
  • Nonetheless, Adobe Connect lacks the engagement monitoring, which can be critical for the management to oversee.
  • Besides, Adobe Connect has no certification management, which is essential in the current education or training field.
  • Lastly, Adobe Connect has no offline editing tool, hence, when the internet connection is not there, many things can not be conducted effectively.

  • Video quality is different between their desktop app version and web browser version
  • I prefer using Bluejeans web browser version but it lack many features which are there in their Desktop App version, which is really disappointing.
  • Not a big issue but if they decrease their pricing, it will be great

The longer you use Adobe Connect, the longer you are likely to use it. Because you can build more and more resources over time, creating rooms that you re-use, recorded content you can repurpose, and tools that form the basis of ever increasing productivity, the more you use Connect, the more productive you become. Unlike competing products where, with every meeting you essentially start over -- setting up your resources for each meeting -- in my Connect rooms, I have highly tuned tools to accomplish my knowledge transfer goals. When I want to conduct another session - I send a link out to the appropriate room and instantly we are all focusing on getting a job done together. This ability of Adobe Connect to make you productive at an ever quickening rate is a competitive advantage

I have used many other competing platforms platforms; however, despite the fact that BlueJeans lacks certain features others offer, familiarity, ease of use, and several things BlueJeans does better than others mean that I will stick to BlueJeans. Further, whenever I have faced a problem, I have found BlueJeans support excellent overall; no lengthy wait to understand and resolve an issue. Good product, great support, BOTH TESTED OVER TIME; I do not have an incentive to move to another platform.

Usability
Adobe
I gave it a 6 because it does have lots of functionality, has a strong brand and reputation following, etc. but it does have its glitches and experiences with low bandwidth issues. I believe it has more features than my organization fully leverages, so some of those pieces haven't been explored yet. But there are opportunities for improvement in their online resource support, stability at high usages as well.

I don't have much experience of joining a meeting from an attendee of someone else's. As for joining a meeting I've created, it's very easy. For recurring meetings, I find the meeting in my list, and if it's near the time to start, there will be a "Join" button, and I just push that. After that, it gives me the options for joining -- video, audio, phone, screen share only. It remembers my previous choices, so mostly I just can click by that. As for attendees joining, there do seem to be connection problems from time to time and people have to log off and come back on, but we had that trouble with GoToMeeting also. Being able to mute attendees is much better in BlueJeans. When we had GoToMeeting, I constantly had problems with people joining by phone incorrectly, such that they didn't even show up in the meeting list and thus I couldn't mute them when needed.

This has been a continual issue with our organization. We are a IP/H323 infrastructure so we integrate BlueJeans via the IP/H323 connections to the cloud. We still have inconsistent results with calls. Some work without issue and some calls are horribly choppy and at times freeze. If I have one complaint or reason to seek out a different competitor its this

The customer support of Adobe connect is professional and well-skilled for resolving our minor and major issues. Moreover, it has almost all the features that will provide you a secure connection, with people across the world. Education institutes can also implement this software. On the basis of its quality and technology, I will surely advise you to try it once.

In all these years, there has been ONE instance when a problem I pointed out (with screenshots, no less) was DENIED. That apart, though there have been a few instances where there has been a delay in resolution (more to do with offering new features), I have NEVER felt frustrated about help not being on hand when I needed it most.

Prices do not seem to vary much among resellers of the Adobe Connect hosted license; the only price variation you're likely to find are among the audio providers. When implementing, you may also wish to look into expanding the amount of storage you are allowed on the server to avoid any problems later on as your library of files starts to build up

Actually, it was the other way around....we were using Adobe Connect, company-wide, then switched over to Zoom, mostly, I think, as a cost-cutting measure. But some Learning & Development folks campaigned to be allowed to retain some Adobe Connect licenses (for example, one L&D area had literally over 250 room layouts that their course facilitators could just jump into and use to deliver a course on short notice), which also allows some of us to continue to publish Presenter and Captivate modules to the Adobe server. (But, even those of us who still have Adobe Connect licenses use Zoom for most regular business meetings.)

I believe BlueJeans is easy to scale, but we have a different business model that requires a more central scheduling need. Most vendors operate on an enterprise wide environment with a one to one licensing. We have a centralized group of video administrators and schedulers that do the majority of the scheduling for multiple departments. Because we are a centralized scheduling group we need shared access to on schedule not multiple users delegating access to one another. I.E. if I have 5 schedulers, under the current licensing they would each have individual accounts and delegating those accounts to one another. So when receiving a support call they have to search 5 individual schedules to make changes to meetings. This I think is a valid need even for smaller businesses that just have a few schedulers for the rest of the groups. It would be easier if it scaled within the individual accounts

  • Save on time - our instructors and people that use the platform can teach more classes and more often than in-person training and time traveling.
  • We cut down on spending. When we offer training using Connect - we do not have to spend on meals, hard copy materials, and reserving a venue to deliver training.
  • We increase our training sales significantly but offering Connect as an alternative - any unforeseen cancellations to a public class can result in transferring to a remote online Connected class.

  • All-Hands meetings were improved to feel less like a prerecorded video show and more like an actual conversation using BlueJeans.
  • Client meetings remained smooth in the transition to working-from-home with easy video calling and scheduling.
  • These were the main points that helped my department, as I am unfamiliar with how BlueJeans was implemented in external sales uses, but I imagine it was equally helpful for meetings when in-person was not available.
