Likelihood to Recommend [ADP is well suited for] Smaller agencies with a regular payroll and not a complex payroll. Users must be familiar with databases, reporting, etc. as system is not as user friendly as we would like. The cost is also a factor especially as the basic system does not include other features such as performance management, dashboards, etc. I was hoping to have access to the dashboards. Reporting should also provide more sample reports
Read full review A small/medium size business is a great space for Rippling to play. They offer many of the "good enough" items that most businesses this size would need. A complex / large organization might not benefit from the "off the shelf" version of Rippling as the workflows/automation/reporting isn't tiered for enterprise level companies. Sometimes we have to make workarounds to avoid paying the extra fees for workflows etc. that come base level for vendors like WorkDay.

They can use the same punch information to log into ADP and look up and edit personal information on their own. Like changing address, phone, and open enrollments. Various methods of clocking. Tablets, computer, biometric clocks, and hand clocks. Read full review Rippling integrates with QuickBooks Online. As such, we no longer have to post our weekly payroll journal entry manually. The payroll journal entry syncs automatically from Rippling to QuickBooks Online weekly. This has helped saved our accounting department time. The onboarding workflows in Rippling are terrific. We have been able to assign tasks to our team when we hire a new team member. This allows are staff to stay organized and it also helps ensure that all tasks are completed in advance of the new hires first day with the company. We use the Rippling spend module to help manage corporate credit cards that are issued to staff members. When a staff member makes a purchase on their corporate card they receive a text message. Once the staff member receives the text message they reply to the text with a picture of the receipt and a memo describing the transaction. This process has helped alleviate the amount of admin time the accounting department spends on gathering receipts and information from card holders. We really like the org chart since it can be accessed by all employees. This allows our staff to see who reports to who and what each employee's job title is. This allows for more effective lines of communication within the organization. Read full review Cons Trying to research previous time cards past a month are hard to achieve. There is a custom date range option but it rarely works, the program just sits there and doesn't pull up the custom range. Pulling reports for various needs is also more difficult then it needs to be. Instead of pulling a quick report with the dates and parameters you need you have to go in and edit the report and then go back in and edit it again to return it to default settings. You also have to watch your invoices and make sure you are receiving your discounts otherwise this software can be quite costly. Make sure your employees bookmark the ADP ezLaborManager website, otherwise it gets difficult to find through an internet search. Read full review Usability ADP is a good system to track information but, what it lacks is just some detail that provides time savings. Some instances they have made "updates" that tend to have been better previous to those "updates." One example is for staff to see how they have used their time off in the past. There should be an easy way to report and review such other than looking at pay periods. Pay statement and review and totals can also improve.

We work in a very technical industry, and terminology can become confusing, so we like to make it digestible for grade-schoolers to understand. Otherwise, team members can become bored with the software, which could lead to less activity and involvement, as well as care about their benefits, payroll, etc.
Read full review Reliability and Availability I like that the availability in using Rippling at any given time is useful to me. Getting on the site freely when I need gives me security of knowing that I can be in control of viewing health insurance and hours information. I have yet to get any errors in using the Rippling app.

I am confident that Going from one page to the next and all its complexity usage does not lag or times out, it works effectively and efficiently. While using Rippling and other apps it does not tend to slow it down, works great. No complaints.

They do not know much about their own system I feel and it shows a lack of knowledge on their part. We have gotten wrong answers and it's not so user friendly.
Read full review I only have called once. They have a call center located in India. The people are truly helpful and helped me fixed my problem. They are very responsive and techy enough to know what causes the problem of my Rippling. The only thing that I didn't like and still needs improvement is when they spent an hour to fix my problem.
Read full review Online Training The training provided was based on a generic database and reporting which made it difficult to compare when you had your own database to work at. It also didn't provide good written materials that would be useful after the training session. It was more geared towards the practice tests or applications within the training.

Paycor and Aon Hewitt timecard applications. This software was more user friendly, had easier access, reporting, and tracking hours than the others I have used. I am not saying the others are horrible, just that ADP was more simplistic to use and administer than the others.
Read full review Rippling provides more features than the other products and the user interface is easier to use and integrates better with other platforms. We use NetSuite, and Rippling integrates well with NetSuite. Rippling also is a lot faster when it comes to loading screens and opening pages, PTO, organizational trees, etc
Read full review Scalability I can go on here and see all my hours and pto plus health benefits. I like to have the work handbook handy to refer to legal things. How to work my role within it's limits. Being able to put in my hours and view when they are approved is a huge benefit for me.
