Agency Analytics

Agency Analytics is one of the best website rank tracking tools that I have used so far. I feel like it shows a great amount of insight into the fluctuation of ranking over time. This tool is extremely helpful for B2B marketing agencies where you need to be able to show progress to your clients. Also, the ability to see the results in a live SERPs page gets rid of the trouble of showing a client the live result when you're not next to each other.

Google Search Console

It is a basic tool that all website owners should be aware of and know how to use as it is an absolute basic necessity to understanding performance on Google. Other tools provide what Search Console does and more, so it can be bypassed. However, I always rely on Search Console as the ultimate source of truth for our site's performance on Google because, well, it's owned by Google.

Cons

  • Very basic tool.
  • There are other tools in the market that can get you more than that.
  • Lack of integration with tools.

  • They used to have a limitation on how far back you can go with data (the limitation was 90 days), meaning you couldn't see data from 100 days ago. However, the new version (I think it's in Beta now) doesn't have this limitation anymore.
  • Also, it's not possible to group keywords and pages and track performance for groups. Tools like Conductor Searchlight have this function.

Google Search Console is a simple program that allows organizations to get a solid understanding of the way their site functions and how users land on it. It can be used for making critical business decisions regarding marketing budgets and that within itself is why it deserves a 10.

Google Analytics is a complementary tool to Google Analytics. Where Google Analytics deals mostly with people, their interaction and content on your website, Google Search Console deals with technical aspects, sitemaps, robots.txt files and website indexation.I believe linking the two Google products is the way to go if you want the complete image and access of your website performance on the web.

Return on Investment

  • Agency Analytics has made it easier for us to report to our clients on a monthly basis. With being able to add users to the campaign, it also gives the client a little responsibility to track their report on their own time if it's between the monthly emails. This has saved us phone calls.
  • Being able to updates reports in real time saves us money because other tools charge you each time you run the report. Sometimes changes are just "tests" and you may need to revert back to the original set up. With Agency Analytics, we're not charged extra for making changes.

  • Google Search console has helped my business achieve our objectives of increasing our online presence and findability.
  • Google Search Console has also helped us to remain competitive within our market by adding structured data to everything from our job posts to our blog articles.
  • Google Search Console has helped us increase our SEO and the SEO of our clients through quality back-linking and cross-linking strategies.
