  • PTS: things get lost, findable but version control
  • Solution: everything in one placeConcepts, testing, IHUTs, verbatims, videos with transcripts. Reduces the possibility of missing something, helps with any builds (reuse), but gives us a the chance to dig deeper. Example: search on terms like "indulgent", or "crispy" or "share" much faster

A great scenario that we use the community for is product adoption. That's one of the things we use it for. So sending our new customers as part of their onboarding flow to the community to learn from others and see the resources that are available and know that there's a place for them to ask questions and get their questions answered. That's probably one of our primary use cases and scenarios that it works straight in. I can't really think of something that it wouldn't work good for. That's a tough one to think of on the spot.

It's perfect for us to update processes that we use daily at Curri. This is a very important piece of our business because being a start-up, things are always changing. I'd say it's pretty appropriate for all needs related to a knowledge base.

  • Quickly reach out to whatever employee segment you want to reach by posting a topic and it will send a notification to everyone in that group with a link to the posting.
  • Bloomfire saves all of the previous posts so in your free time you can go to the site, and explore the various range of topics others have posted. The information on there will only be as good as the person posting it, but it will be people within your company and industry posting it. So it will always be helpful.
  • Bloomfire is a place to be noticed by your peers. Have a great topic you want to express, my company allows all to post there as long as we keep it professional. So you can share your ideas or experiences in a safe and productive manner. But we do have some fun on there too!

  • Live Q+A sessions for group onboarding initiatives.
  • Ability to label bookmarks by priority/job type.

  • The REST API could use some work with missing capabilities.
  • Speed; production instance can sometimes be noticeably slow, especially on the back-end.
  • Polls; the polling data is not easily accessible. It can be found in the data lake but that is not necessarily simple to access for some.

Bloomfire is an easy-to-use platform for posting information and asking questions of my peers. It also has a user-friendly search capability. Yet like any other CMS, the secret to success rests in such items as the ability to use metadata to tag content or posts, and Bloomfire provides a wide range of options to make posting content and subsequently searching for it.

Gainsight CC is very versatile and easy to update in the areas they provide for customization. There are still some limitations that surprise us, but I really we are pleased with the ability to make changes on the fly. Overall we are able to accomplish what we desire to accomplish, and appreciate how user friendly it is

I have not needed to pose questions to the support team yet, as it is a very simple piece of software to use, however, its help documents and the bot ready to answer questions let me know I am in good hands. The help center could load a little quicker, but that's my only complaint.

I like Bloomfire because it is more concise with the work I do whereas Google search engine would provide broader information. It has just been so user-friendly, and easier to use [than] I could have imagined. I would use this program over any other that I have tried in the past.

Gainsight CC was a clear winner for us. Khoros was second, but we eliminated it from consideration due to cost and how hard it is to implement. Verint is a great platform, but lacks integrations. Circle is more of a small community platform and better suited to communities of practice.

Most of the systems I have used in the past that house knowledge feel clunky and difficult to navigate. They are not easily modified and are not easy to access when you are working directly with a customer. They do not feel linear and sometimes feel overwhelming when you are trying to learn new processes. Overall, I've never used a KB that I felt did a great job at housing the information I would need to refresh and train. Slab is easy to navigate, easy to use and overall very seamless in delivering information. I never feel overwhelmed and the simplicity in it's layout allows users to access information without feeling discouraged trying to locate it

  • We are actually doing some work to prove return on investment for investing in Gainsight Customer Communities right now, and it's proving to be exponentially higher than we initially estimated. I'm not sure the exact numbers off the top of my head, but we're having a monumental impact compared to what we projected in terms of monthly recurring revenue and customer churn.
