Keap is a small business-focused, comprehensive sales and marketing platform which combines basic contact management, CRM, marketing automation, and e-commerce capabilities into a single, subscription-based SaaS product.
I'd say that every business is well suited to this platform regardless of the industry or size. However, I think it suits more businesses that want to scale fast, collaborate more and report on their projects and goals in a friendly and easy-to-use platform. It might come with additional cost for some features such as monitoring capacity, or access to advanced reporting/ limited people per working space, so this might be something that small business should factor in when they're doing their assessment about the platform. Be that as it may, I personally think it's worth exploring and trialing this software as its business use cases can differ greatly from company to company and can be a huge lever to pull for a company.
Keap is a good fit for any business looking to do more of what they do best. It helps you systemize your processes and deliver a consistently positive customer experience over and over. At a more detailed level, I think it's best suited for small businesses with 1-25 employees. I've seen it work for larger organizations too, but usually, they have a handful of individuals who actually log into the software. Ideally, the company would be earning 100,000 or more - that's not to say it can't benefit a smaller company or a start-up; I just find that more established companies seem more willing to invest in their marketing budget, and using Keap successfully requires an investment of time, money, or both. As far as industries go, it works well for any business that generates leads and wants to automate the follow-up with their new prospects - this could be coaching businesses, agencies, consultants, local service providers, or more formal professions like dentists and lawyers.
Gantt Chart and Calendar Views: ClickUp offers Gantt chart and calendar views that provide a clear overview of the team's progress (pertaining to individual projects) and workload. This helps me in determining the capacity of the team and plan the resources accordingly.
Task Management: ClickUp offers a comprehensive task management system that allows individual departments and teams to easily plan, organize, and execute projects. The tool's intuitive and user-friendly interface makes it easy for team members to access and update task information, track progress, and collaborate with one another in real-time.
Performance monitoring: The ability to monitor team performance and progress (on specific strategic initiatives and projects), would allow me to have a clear and concise understanding of how the initiative is progressing and how to steer it in the right direction.
Dashboards: be able to post automatic progress and take into account calculated custom columns.
Customization of roles from the business license
Custom columns: being able to manage the ones that were created for all the spaces, currently they represent a problem when many unnecessary ones are created for all the lists or folders.
More articles and videos on how to use the various functions of Keap
Having representatives designated to certain regions or companies for a point of contact when help is needed
More options when building the emails. While the click and drop options can be a plus, they can also be negative because you are limited to image and text sizing and positions
We're very pleased with how the system works in general. For over a year we've barely ever had any problems with ClickUp and there might have only been one or two times when it wasn't operational for us due to a global emergency. Moreover, when we had a problem once with renewing our licenses we've been contacted directly by our account manager and taken care of in a very professional way (with a due refund as well). The exceptional customer service makes us firmly believe that ClickUp is just the right tool for us.
We have invested a lot into Infusionsoft and are using it to automate our processes and marketing. Changing CRMs would have a HUGE cost for us and based on our evaluations, the grass isn't greener elsewhere. Infusiosoft fits most of our needs and is slowly getting better each year. Their support is great and we will continue to use them until something much better comes around or our company outgrows a small business CRM.
It takes a lot of onboarding, training, and tinkering around to use ClickUp to it's full (or even half-full) potential. But once you do, it can do amazing things. There are so many different ways to customize and adapt it to suit your needs. I especially like how different spaces, folders, lists, etc. can have different settings that you can fully customize.
You do need to spend some time on-boarding and implementing the software in order to have full functionality. We were lucky - we had colleagues at the university with experience with Keap and then hired an intern familiar with the software to get us set up and ready to use it. We've had some functionality issues with it along the way and that has frustrated myself and the other uses in our department.
I can't recall of any time ClickUp has been down for more than a few seconds. The only availability option is file retrieval at times, some times it just sits there trying to open a file, but again this happens very infrequently.
I understand that it's a beast and does a lot of things, which is probably why it's laggy. But I do find it takes longer than I'd like to load, and if I am sending a complex document to a client or team member they aren't quite sure if they're getting the right thing at first. This is actually a pretty significant problem - my biggest beef with ClickUp.
OMG, it's all in one and that compromises everything, fundamentally. If you want a race car, invest in a race car. If you want a dune buggy, get that. If you want a boat that floats, go for it.
Every time I communicated with ClickUp, I got a fast and eager-to-please response. There were a couple of times I tried to leave based on another offer of another tool, and they woo'd me back with their warm responses and help to please me. I would highly recommend their customer service team!
Generally, very responsive support for even our more complicated issues. We do have some open issues that we need resolutions on and that I understand are complicated and will take longer to resolve but the open issues are significantly impacting to our business.
I have been to a number of in-person training sessions over the years with Keap and all of them have been FANTASTIC. They really put a lot of time and effort into these sessions. Staff and facilitators go out of their way to ensure that participants are getting what they need.
There are multiple guides on literally all of the functions you can find within the system, therefore it's easy to learn anything you'd really like to use, starting from project and people management, down to Gantts, mind maps, time tracking, inviting Clients as guests to work with you on the projects and so much more.
The results of training online are often based on how people learn. The training was great but with feature updates, you just have to get in there sometimes and do it! The training definitely lays a firm enough foundation for you to be successful even if its can't be updated with every feature update.
Using ClickUp is fairly easy. There are multiple guides on how to use all of the functions in the system. An organization wanting to start working with ClickUp should simply try it out and see how it would like to adapt its workflow to the possibilities the system gives the users.
Don't let the fear of implementing a new software solution keep you from unleashing the power of automation that Infusionsoft provides. With the right implementation partner, the process can not only be smooth and painless, it can actually help you get a better understanding for how your current communication process can be improved upon.
ClickUp combines all the good bits of each tool and combines into one, creating incremental value to each on its own. Task and project management are more easily linked together, and processes and SOPs, using task templates, checklist and documents are being more effectively managed within one tool.
Keap, compared to Mailchimp, AWeber, and SendFox, is a complete solution. The latter 3 are primarily for email and don't have the same flexibility by themselves for a campaign or email automation. Keap, compared to Typeform, is similar, but Typeform does form building better. There are more options for customization in Typeform.
As long as organizations are thoughtful when setting up their workspace, I believe that ClickUp is very scalable. For example, we have divided our spaces into functional areas, and further organized projects into a folder system within spaces. By being thoughtful in the early stages of set up, I believe we are avoiding a disorganized situation down the line where projects lack any clear structured hierarchy.
You get a lot of features included, but you don't need to use them all at once to start seeing an effect. When you are ready to use them, they are there. It also scales without costing too much money.
I created a dashboard that would take me less than 5 minutes to provide the information needed rather than working on it on a spreadsheet and manual listing of data
I created a custom table view and used the custom fields in generating dashboard. It is a 1 time setup and you can have the update of the client's health anytime, anywhere you want.
I recently created a FB ads funnel with Keap that brought a 2.29 ROI. That's right - with some simple automation, I was able to more than double my money. #happyentrepreneur
Keap's automation has made my business SUSTAINABLE. So if I'm on vacation, or out sick, or just busy with a new project, Keap insures that I'm staying on top of everything.
Keap has allowed me to sell and deliver programs priced from 99 cents to $10k, fill 100+ person events, launch books, fill a retreat in Belize, deliver a podcast, create a thriving membership site and generate enough profit that I don't have to do anything else to support myself and my family.
