Overall Satisfaction with Keap

I use Keap in all aspects of my business, from invoicing to appointment setting to referral requests to long term nurture. It saves me tons of time, reminds me who I need to follow-up with, notifies my customers when they need to update their info or book call with me, and provides me the reporting I need to understand where my business is today, so that I can plan for tomorrow.

  • Occasionally, clients with some complex needs for sales management can have difficulty with Keap, but generally most needs can be met after discussions and thoughtful planning.
  • Email inbox placement can sometimes be an issue, but I've found that proper planning, utilizing best practices and careful list hygiene management takes care of this in nearly all instances.
  • For my use, the ecommerce functionality is fine, but I do have clients who need more robust reporting and taxation functionality, which has been improving, but is still an area that needs additional attention.
  • Keap saves me time every month by messaging clients who need to schedule with me, so that I don't have to.
  • Keap saves me money each month by messaging clients who have declined or who have a credit card that is going to expire before their next invoice.
  • Keap helps me stay organized by allowing me to customize reports on my dashboard to display the information that I need most.
I find Keap much easier to use and customize. I understand why businesses move to Salesforce when they have certain needs, but for smaller businesses and those who have less complex needs, Keap is a true game changer in growing their business. Additionally, Keap has a number of features built-in that need 3rd-party add-ons to get in Salesforce. For myself & my clients, this makes Keap the better solution.

It would depend on their needs and where they are in their business growth. Keap is a fantastic tool, but just as a hammer is not the right tool for every job, Keap is not the solution for every business. All businesses should carefully weigh their needs and compare several products to ensure that what they select with be the best option.

Using Keap

2 - I am the owner of the company and the primary user. My assistant also uses it to complete tasks and follow-up with clients/prospects.
1 - There is a bit of a learning curve to get the most benefit out of Keap, but once it is set up and someone in the company is adequately trained on it's use, I think most businesses could get by with occasional or monthly consulting with a Keap Partner. That said, in my experience, many companies prefer to outsource their Keap maintenance & support to allow their company employees to do what they do best, rather than learn the software.
  • Automating prospect & client onboarding.
  • Tracking sales & marketing efforts.
  • Managing client communications.
  • I have set up a donation system for another Keap user that has allowed his organization to bring in nearly $50,000 in donations for his non-profit.
  • I have set up a series of reports to help me manage my client/prospect email engagement and reach out to those who are no longer engaging with my messages.
  • I use forms to enter data into my app on clients & prospects in a systematic way which generate semi-customized emails to my clients & prospects without the need to log-in, create a new message, and send it.
  • I plan to continue expanding my current use of Keap.
  • I plan to implement text messaging now that it's available.
I could not run my business in it's current form without using Keap. It is the most essential tool in my business arsenal.

Evaluating Keap and Competitors

  • Prior Experience with the Product
I had several clients using it and I had quite a bit of experience using it, so when the need arose to select a tool for our own use, Keap was the only logical choice.
I don't think I would change. I've been using Keap for over 16-years and have been utilizing it for my own business for 14. I've had many opportunities over the years to switch to another platform, but have not because Keap continues to fill a critical need within my business.

I have been to a number of in-person training sessions over the years with Keap and all of them have been FANTASTIC. They really put a lot of time and effort into these sessions. Staff and facilitators go out of their way to ensure that participants are getting what they need.
I have gone through a number of online trainings for different platforms and have found the ones offered by Keap to be excellent. They are well-thought out & timed in a way that you don't get frustrated by the length of time invested or by trying to learn to much all at once. Most also have a nice progression so you can see how many additional modules or lessons you have to complete. This makes it much easier (IMO) to stay engaged.

I don't think I could count the number of times that Keap support has provided me with exceptional support. The support team is patient, knowledgeable, and extraordinarily committed to the success of their users. I could not ask for a better team to support me in my use of any software.
They are always there for big questions, little questions, and the stupid questions. They have answered questions that were a huge deal to me that probably seemed minor to them, but still handled it with the utmost professionalism. They have assisted me with alternative ways to solve problems that I might not have considered otherwise. Knowing that I have a team to assist when I hit a wall has been a huge benefit to my use of Keap.

  • Once things are properly set up, the entire system is easy to use.
  • There are some advanced techniques that can be tricky and some use cases that are more complex to set up. I recommend that users start simple and get USING it, then worry about the more complicated uses.
I have been using it nearly daily for over 16-years. If it weren't usable, I would have switched to something else in that time.
