It's a really easy platform to use. It integrates seamlessly with Cvent, so with a few clicks, your information is pushed through and ready to start previewing. It's a huge benefit for your attendees to have your whole conference schedule in the palm of their hand. You can easily make updates, unlike in the old printed guide where once it's printed, that's it. We have so many room changes or last-minute speaker adjustments to make, the app has been wonderful in making sure our attendees know where to go and when!

The reasons to use Poll Everywhere:1. Get rid of those clickers! They eat batteries, need constant maintenance, and ofter walk off at a monetary loss. 2. The pricing model is really easy to manage, the campus/company license will pay for itself even if you only have 5-10 active users.3. Stop fighting mobile devices in your classroom and start leveraging them. Students can't mess around on social media, texting etc if they are in the PE app.Then situations where Poll Everywhere wouldn't work as well:1. Not great for multiple part, asynchronous polling, or data collection2. Areas where there is a limited or absent internet connection.3. Situations where an audience would lack basic technology such as a cell phone or laptop.

  • It's deceptively simple to use. Showing how to use the features, create & modify questions, and viewing polling data, is much easier than it first seems.
  • There are a surprising amount of alternate ways to poll users and present questions in more ways than just "Question and 2-4 possible answers." It's pretty easy to customize.
  • It's very, very, very easy to use as an attendee. There's not anything complex or invasive in order to sign in and vote in polls.

  • Finding Session handouts can be difficult for attendees - would be helpful to have a central hub for their downloads.
  • No duplication of events means a lot of time repeating features of a build for repeat events.

It is very easy to use as everything is very intuitive. Configurating an app does not take too much time at the end, especially as soon as you already have done one as you can dupplicate the entire content. This is very practical when you use the app for annual events.Also few elements are not updatable once the app is published. Of course you can't change the entire design and the security settings which is a good thing anyway, but the entire content can be updated which allows you to publish your app quite early in advance to boost the engagement without having to wait to have everything in your hands (for instance the speakers bios or abstracts). Plus by adding more content regularly it encourage your audience to come back also regularly to check what is going on before the event.

We were happy with the customer support from the beginning, when we purchased the application, to after our conference when we were wrapping things up. We initially discussed a timeline to set up the application and were briefed on what we needed to accomplish monthly to meet our goal. When we had questions, customer support representatives were always quick to respond.

Don't wait to register with Apple and Google. You can do a lot of prep work prior to setting up CrowdCompass for integration.

We started using CrowdCompass before there were a lot of alternatives and/or competitors to select from, however I believe our choice would be the same to this day. Not only is Crowd Compass such a great tool in its own right, but it also works hand in hand with Cvent which makes everything that much easier and more reliable.

Other than Google Forms (which I utilize heavily, but for different reasons and during different areas) I find Poll Everywhere to be the best at what it offers and does. Options to lock questions, hide or show responses, varying questions/response types, and the ability to let users respond via text message on their phone or through the website/app increase the functionality of the program. The is also the ability to be creative and change poll/question backgrounds, colors and layouts as well as attach/embed images.

  • Increased attendee engagement via Live Polls and gamification.
  • Post-event reporting on Live Poll results
  • Fewer calls/emails to staff because everything they need for logistics is in the app: airport and transportation info, the conference schedule, their personalized schedule, interactive maps, etc.
  • Very easy and inexpensive to configure one's self. I have saved about $8K year over year by using CrowdCompass and configuring it myself.
