Cvent Event Management vs. Pipedrive

Cvent has been great for our large flagship conferences, roadshows, exec forums, and webinars. From registration and attendee management all the way to post-event engagement and everything in between. Its custom reporting has helped us present business cases when we needed to eliminate certain events and has also helped us navigate challenging recruitment times by calling out patterns and successes.

Pipedrive is a fantastic tool to help monitor and track lead generation and referral sources. It helps maintain accountability with the sales team and helps ensure that we are doing appropriate marketing to maintain a steady influx of cases. The weekly and quarterly sales reports that it can generate are incredibly helpful and insightful. They help inform us of what we need to focus on each quarter/year.

• Event registration - manages different registration types for different programming.
• Audience Segmentation - from sessions to event emails to push notifications, Cvent's audience segmentation saves us so much time.
• Training - Cvent has a vast library of help articles and community questions and answers to help both new and seasoned users.

• Great visual visibility of the funnel plus easy to drag the deals across the stages
• The email integration that collects all relevant communication (also through the possibility of adding a deal-specific Pipedrive address on BCC)
• The integration with Pandadoc, which we use a lot, so that Pipedrive keeps a really handy overview of the documents we have sent out / which have been signed

• Growth emphasis seems slanted towards trade shows and events vendor integrations (less so on educational/attendee features)
• Because of rapid incorporation of new functionality, documentation can lag behind the current platform
• Complexity is growing, so the platform requires a significant investment of time and coordination to fully leverage

• Showing the customers name on the pipeline page. Right now I can only get it to show the brand name twice. I wish it would replace the second brand name with the main point of contact.
• Better reporting tools. Their reporting tools are not easy to pick up. I've spent time trying to figure it out and it isn't something I can pick up on quickly.
• Better training options. I wish I had a personal trainer to walk me through the best way to use Pipedrive so I can get the most out of it.

We are very pleased with the features that Cvent gives us. The ease of use and the immediate support when something does stump us. Cvent provides us with everything that we need to run a successful event. The only reason I did not Rate Cvent as a 10 is the cost

Super simple to use once configured. The solutions guide you through the process and the training resources and community fill in anything you can't figure out. Technical and non-technical users alike will be able to figure out how to successfully use the system.

Pipedrive is easy to use and has a clean interface so we can follow up accurately. Its custom features help manage leads and evaluate team performance. It saves time and improves efficiency. Pipedrive is stable and supports integrations and automation.

Additionally, the platform has a comprehensive help center and knowledge base, including user guides, tutorials, and FAQs, which help us troubleshoot issues on our own. Cvent also provides training and support resources, including onboarding assistance, live training sessions, and webinars, which help us get the most out of the platform. Between quick video tutorials and having very quick feedback from their support teams, it is one of the main reasons I would recommend Pipedrive. It is critical, especially when setting up the platform to meet your companies needs, that a solid support team like Pipedrive has is there to make the transition easier.

It would have been nice during implementation if we had received more pointers on how to organize our parked report folders, libraries, etc. to avoid the mess we find ourselves in today. If we had known ahead of time the limitations we could have planned better.

Experiment is the only way to start

There is no other tool that offers the same range of solutions as Cvent, all under one umbrella. With minimal reliance on APIs, client and associate data are more secure, making all stakeholders more comfortable with the software. All other solutions I looked at only solved one piece of the puzzle I was dealing with.

I much prefer the interface of Pipedive when compared to Zoho. Much more user friendly and the team is always readily available when we need them. Pipedrive allowed for many custom integrations to be added, as Zoho was a tad more complicated to manipulate. We would not go back to Zoho in any case.

• Cvent Event Management has definitely provided great value with our exhibitors. It's a well organized system that they all trust and utilize each year now.
• Cvent Event Management has also provided positive ROI on the app front. Our clients rely on the app to share information and it's saved us a lot of money in paper printing costs!

• Great on setup which made our work easier and less technically equipped people can manage a lot of things(compared to SalesForce where you need to hire a developer to set it up)
• We were able to integrate our calling system easily and get things going on the lead calling aspect.
• Great multipipeline option where we were able to manage both organisations under one roof.
