Paycom supports HR and payroll with automated, employee-first technology that supports every stage of employment. Its single database enables seamless data management, to reduce errors, endless data entry and time-consuming administrative tasks.
[My own feeling on the subject is] that large teams will probably enjoy the features much more than a smaller team. [In my opinion] I would not have signed up with Deputy had it not been for the integration with my payroll provider. [From my point of view] the cost is not worth it for a small team. [I've found] it has a lot of features geared towards big teams and those are not things you can "opt-out" of from a cost/tier standpoint [as far as I'm concerned].
Paycom is great for smaller to mid-sized companies. The Betti feature is extremely helpful for sales teams and others with commissions or bonus structures. Having the availability for them to review their stub for accuracy has been very helpful and beneficial. The accuracy of pay is important, and Betti helps provide the most accuracy.
Paycom will find a solution. Our attendance tracking isn't simple, but Paycom found a way to integrate our unique process into their design.
Government and compliance tracking is integrated with the entire system. You can track all ACA, FMLA, Workplace Injuries, COBRA, Unemployment, Training, and more in the same place that you track payroll and benefits. The entire system flows together seamlessly. We were able to combine 3 other programs into one when we switched to Paycom.
Employees appreciate the Paycom app. They can complete onboarding, trainings, benefit enrollment, check PTO balances, request PTO, view their timecards and pay history all in one place. They especially enjoy the ability to clock in/out on their mobile devices.
The basic functionality and overall efficiency it provides is enough to renew. I still would like to see improvements in reporting and leave management, but overall it is absolutely worth it to have the program. I especially like having remote access and supervisors scheduling and approving time sheets of employees
We've made the mistake of moving away from Paycom to a PEO which had made a lot of promises, that they could not keep. Less than a year after that transition, we returned to Paycom and are happier than ever.
Deputy is user-friendly and easy to understand for users with basic to moderate computer knowledge. The Employee is simple and easy for employees to understand. Employees get push notifications when shifts are scheduled and can clock in and out easily directly from the phone or kiosk, or using the website. The only challenge we’ve had is the ability for management to assign leave to employees who have not yet requested time off.
The system is very user friendly. Once you navigate where your information is stored under the forms you are golden. While the training amplified my capabilities and knowledge, I could have jumped into the system without and training and managed just fine. This probably one of my favorite parts about Paycom!
Every time I have contacted support they have answered my question within the hour and solved every problem we have had. They follow up to make sure we are satisfied with our results which has been great when we are busy and get distracted
Our TSR has been wonderful to work with. Every step of the way he was quick to respond and answer any questions we had. I knew I could reach him at any time (day or night) and he would be available to assist. Implementing a new HRIS system is obviously a huge task and I contribute all our success to our rep Kurt! Of course, with any implementation, there were bumps along the way and issues. But I always knew we would work as a team to get those issues figured out. Working in the Paycom system has been smooth and easy to learn and I enjoy the employee self-service interface. Our managers have had positive things to say and are all excited about the changes we have been able to make to our organization due to Paycom being implemented.
All the online training modules were short and straight to the point. Every module teach you how to use the system. If there is one thing they know how to do is training. We did implementation during the pandemic so all had to be done online or via zoom meetings.
It took me a bit to get all my staff input from our previous scheduling software. However, once all the information was there, everything went smoothly and we were able to start implementing Deputy right away. It did not take long to train my staff and have them comfortable with using the system.
Not at all satisfied it was a nightmare we spent over 8 months with the implementation team having issues after issues all related to the Puerto Rico regulations (half my employees are in Puerto Rico) and at the end we were moved over from the implementation team to the production team without all the issues being resolved
For years we used TimeTrax systems but they were hard to use and required manual downloads of punches, networked setups, and we needed separate setups for each location. When evaluating cloud-based solutions we first tried TSheets, but the higher cost and lack of features made us choose Deputy. Our main complaint about the actual TSheets system was the IPads did not store punches when it first launched so if you lost internet it couldn't store the punches. When we were evaluating the system they were building a police station next door that resulted in intermittent internet outages and the kiosk app basically became a brick until the internet came back on.
The customer service for starters. I used ADP for years and the customer service was awful. Their software is not user friendly either. When they upgrade something, they do not train you. The last straw I had with ADP was when they made complete chaos out of our open enrollment and our manuals team did not enroll employees until 13 days after they were supposed to be enrolled. I processed Payroll in Quickbooks which was just that, only payroll. I did all HR myself, including taxes. It doesn't really compare to Paycom in that sense. I chose Paycom because 1, the person that sold me on it knew their product in and out. The pricing was better than others with more options. What they could offer as far as onboarding, HR, payroll and employee self service was perfect. Has exceeded my expectations.
We have gone from using deputy simply to schedule a couple of members of staff on coffee shop shifts, to also scheduling staff in the retail unit part of our business, to now also scheduling team days and having remote working staff start on schedule shifts to track their working hours.
Hundreds of man-hours saved monthly that previously was spent on recording hours work.
Holiday management is very clear and support fair treatment of staff.
The 100% accuracy of timesheets is amazing. Once approved thousands of timesheets just land in our payroll system thanks to the export/import functions.
