Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

We use Deputy for scheduling and timesheets. Deputy integrates well with our payroll provider, OnPay. Deputy helps my team stay connected by using push notifications to notify my team members of updated shifts, complying with state labor laws by reminding employees to take their required breaks, and providing easy access for employees to clock in and out using the app on their phone.

Deputy provides a comprehensive approach to time tracking for employees and scheduling. I like how Deputy includes state labor laws and integrates with our payroll provider to sync hours and paid time off during each pay run. Other software providers with built-in time tracking failed to include these essential features. Furthermore, Deputy archives employee scheduling data and timesheets indefinitely even after the employee leaves, so that you have a record as required by law. We highly recommend Deputy.

Deputy is user-friendly and easy to understand for users with basic to moderate computer knowledge. The Employee is simple and easy for employees to understand. Employees get push notifications when shifts are scheduled and can clock in and out easily directly from the phone or kiosk, or using the website. The only challenge we’ve had is the ability for management to assign leave to employees who have not yet requested time off.
Deputy was easy for our team to implement. After signing up, we had full access to the software. We were able to add our employees and send them an email invite to create their accounts and download the app. The [signup] process was streamlined and effortless. I like how we did not need to meet with sales reps and the pricing was reasonable and transparent.
Deputy [is] well suited for time tracking in a small business. If you are a small and growing business that wants software that can scale with your business, then Deputy is a great solution to use. Deputy works well within the fitness industry, where employees can be classified based on job role, location, and pay grade. If you are a solo entrepreneur without employees, then Deputy might not be suited for you.
