Desk.com was a helpdesk, ticketing, and customer support product offered by Salesforce, and oriented towards the needs of small businesses. It is no longer sold and support has been discontinued. Salesforce recommends its modern Service Cloud as a replacement.

With the help of the Salesforce Desk, we can get smarter services, especially for small companies as a part of customer support. This leads to increased productivity. Adding applications from AppExchange is an awesome feature where we can integrate with a number of other …
I would say it is a best product when you have to take up the customer calls as well as deep dive customer details while addressing their complaints and issues. It is one of the best tools out there in the market and so many multinational companies are taking benefit of the …
Wix Answers was much better compared to Desk.com. It had more excellent and much better and more tools and was very customizable. Luckily it also had a search tool and also the sort and filter tools. The only thing better than Wix Answers on desk.com was that we could keep …
We liked it as a tool because of the ease and advantages offered by the tool compared to the other solutions evaluated.Due to its ease of implementation and ease of use it adapted very well to the needs of the company, that was the reason why we chose desk.com.
We would have stayed on desk.com if Salesforce did not force us to move off the platform. To be honest it was a great platform at a reasonable price. I was the administrator and our agents were very happy with how things worked. I would go back to them in a heartbeat if I …
Zendesk is much more light and setup friendly. This system does not require a lot of Salesforce knowledge or certification to set it up. Zendesk is better suited to small to medium-sized businesses.

Desk.com and Salesforce Service Cloud can be very easily implemented, administered, and scaled across support teams within the organization. It is truly an industry gold standard as it has a lot of great out-of-the-box functionality and does not require as much customization …
This one seemed to have the best salesforce integration and seemed to be the best for having all of our different teams (sales, retention, support, marketing, SRM, etc.) in one place. Also, we were able to get a very good price. The other platforms seemed like they would be too …
Desk connects directly with Salesforce with many other teams in the business use. This tool did take longer to set up because of all the customization possibilities. There is a good amount of customization that needs to be completed in order to make it function correctly and …
Overall, it performs a lot better than all three combined, with a lot fewer glitches and a lot more user-friendly and user experience efficiency. Any new link that needs to be done, takes a lot less time to execute on desk compared to the three others. Simply advanced when it …
We have used Amazon Connect and it's one of the worst systems we've ever used. It will hang up mid-call or just refresh the whole call and go mute the system was horribly designed we prefer Desk.com and will continue to use desk.com at this office company.
Salesforce Desk is a lot easier to use than Zoho. Zoho has way too much going on, within the software, to be easily manageable. However, SysAid is the easiest, for users, to use because it is extremely basic and straightforward. Our users prefer the easiest method of opening an …
In my opinion, Intercom is more customer oriented, using chat and real time marketing features. Desk.com is a more old school solution focused on tickets and cases. Desk.com does not have much integration capacities with your platform, Intercom has lots of features around this, …
Lower pricing per user. That's about it! Other companies have all-around better features and easier user interfaces, but Desk can beat them on pricing even at higher account tiers. Included knowledgebase tools are a plus, and fairly easy to manage.
The big turn off to this product was the price and poor integration to existing systems. We were in the process of launching a new CRM and needed a tool that would work well with this new tool. Desk.com is a partner and works closely where Zendesk did none of that
Originally, I was using Salesforce to keep track of students and their progress through the system (with an end goal in mind). It was really great for handling students on a case by case basis with the different fields and and sections for multiple people to complete as the …
I was not involved in the selection process of Desk.com vs. competitors but we are discontinuing our Desk.com subscription this month and instead opting to use Service Cloud as our new ticketing system. It allows better integration with Salesforce.com and also is more client …
We evaluated Odoo before; it was a good tool with more features than Freshdesk, making it an all-in-one solution. But it is exactly because it is an All-in-one tool that Freshdesk has more refined features for request management and the portal we have considered.
Far more straightforward than Salesforce which has too many features and modules and is very hard to navigate, making it too complicated for our organization. Similarly for Zoho, but not nearly as bad as Salesforce. Zendesk, for us, is quite similar to Freshdesk. The key reason …
We actually use both JIRA and Freshdesk, and Freshdesk has been a great tool for our clients and our internal users to have visibility over both the big picture and the individual issues at play.
We use Intercom for 70% of our inbound, its a great tool that has many inbuilt and easy to use out the box features like their knowledge base, live chat, tool tips, product tours etc. We primarily use freshdesk for the customers that want to use our email to raise issues etc
Freshdesk offered a faster time-to-value and a more intuitive, easier-to-administer UI for the mid-market team size we targeted. It was more affordable without significant feature lock-in. Freshdesk had a more polished omnichannel experience, and its reporting/analytics were …
It had a good set of features and tight integration with other Zoho apps, but the UI felt less modern, and some customizations were a bit clunky. That said, Zoho Desk is still a great option, especially for teams already deep into the Zoho ecosystem or those looking for a …
Freshdesk, Zendesk and ServiceNow are all excellent. Other products have good points and bad points, but, in my opinion, are clearly inferior. It really comes down to implementation and how well the ticketing system is integrated with other systems, and customized for your …
I use Freshdesk over other similar products I've tested because the price difference and ease of use for the end user seem to me to be the most suitable for achieving a better return on investment within my company. I also found the various AI-powered automation tools to be …
We felt that Freshdesk offered better value in terms of pricing and offered a matching feature set. It was also highly recommended by a member of a team that had used Freshdesk in their previous organisation. Lastly the fact that it could integrate into Hubspot (that we use as …
We use all Freshdesk, Freshchat, and other Freshworks tools—they’re all great. Freshchat is awesome for real-time support, while Freshdesk handles tickets, automation, and multi-channel queries really well. Using them together gives us a complete, seamless customer service …
Freshdesk was the easiest to set up and was the most straightforward product of all the products we evaluated. It had a better user interface for agents, and provided a great solution to meet our needs at a lower cost than the other products that we evaluated. Freshdesk offers …
Ultimately we ended up switching from Freshdesk to Zendesk, and then from zendesk to devrev. We're still trying to find the right fit for us - Freshdesk covers the same options as Zendesk, if you use the whole suite it's probably a good option.
Freshworks desk is very easy to use and understand. The biggest strengths if Freshdesk as it's usability, Affordability and the vast number of features it provides for its clients.
Freshdesk lacks some of the functionality of costlier IT tool suites but makes up for it in value. Yes, that means you may have to use two tools to do the job of one complete suite, but for the price and the functionality, Freshdesk does what it does at the best value point.
As saied before, Freshdesk is very simple to use. It is very agile to our needs and uses, based on the requests are made from our employees only. So, everything they demand, is a well know task or activity in our duties. Zammad does it very well, but needs an on premises …
Talkdesk stacks up much better against Five9 as this vendor is more of an al la cart menu and you don't see a cost savings. Also, some the features that we are using within Talkdesk today, Five9 does not have those things, and I can see why they are just more a telecom for …
Talkdesk is a much easier system to utilize and to train on from an agent perspective. Additionally, Talkdesk has far more features than Cisco Finesse, like WFM, caller identification, sentiment, real time call transcriptions, and so much more. Where Cisco Finesse as more of …
I'm honestly not really sure about the others, but we did view Dialpad, and that was a lot like Slack in terms of the UI. I do like that Talkdesk is more unique looking, and that it has different "apps" within the app itself. We tailor it depending on the roles the agents have.
Talkdesk is more expensive per license than Daktela's offering. However there are more advanced AI functions with Talkdesk compared to Daktela. I think Daktela's portal is more user friendly than Talkdesk. However Talkdesk offers an Academy and Ceritfications which Daktela does …
Talkdesk has a lot of competitors, but it really stands out because of its strong features. Talkdesk is modern and was chosen for its ability to meet specific business needs. Talkdesk was selected for its balance of powerful features, such as robust integration and evolving …
Talkdesk records your calls for you, and you can listen to them right after the call, if there's information you want to verify. You can get your QA markings/scores right on Talkdesk, and it has a direct link to the dashboard or Zendesk of the call that was marked. Softphone …
Talkdesk is the most used, as we are a voice company, which means we have to have inbound and outbound calls throughout the day. We find tickets on Zendesk, send chasers, and call the seller on Talkdesk. Calabrio allows us to see daily break schedules and a monthly off-day …
Slack helps in making conversations with people within the business, and Zendesk works hand in hand with Talkdesk in terms of providing tickets for the seller's information, like phone number, and then we dial them out using Talkdesk. Calabro helps keep track of our daily …
Talkdesk meets our needs well and struck the right balance between features and price. It had all the capabilities we are looking for and has been easy to integrate and maintain. Their tech stacks up well against competitors and we did not feel we we were missing out on any …

Talkdesk easily adapts to the evolving needs of sales and support teams and their end customers, agents receive and handle calls, texts, emails, or chats initiated by customers. Without a Talkdesk, you cannot perform the most simple, Talkdesk sends agents notifications …
Talkdesk easily adapts to the evolving needs of sales and support teams and their end customers, driving customer lifetime value and loyalty. Talkdest also supports tickets to chat with an agent for help; it has all the support needed for both agents and clients that we deal …
Other Talkdesk competitors offer better solutions for small-scale businesses as it doesn't contain advanced call management features that require extensive software training.
Desk.com and the Salesforce Service Cloud provide a sophisticated suite to easily create and track cases coming in, along with automatically routing and escalating issues as they arise. It allows me to configure my own workflows and customizes consoles with easy drag and drop functionality. It is the perfect help desk software, which integrates with the Salesforce Sales and Commerce clouds seamlessly. The in-app and mobile support is also very expedient and helpful.
Overall, it does a great job of handling support, which is our user case. It is best for narrowly focused issues and issues that are resolved in a few interactions. When issues are broad and have several paths of issues and/or corrections it is not easy to segment off the work and responses necessary. This makes it hard to have several support personnel work on an issue that is more diverse and requires multiple skill sets.
Talkdesk does an excellent job with productivity reports. I can monitor my agent's lives during calls and their current status, allowing me to affect them productively at that moment. I can also download a productivity report on Talkdesk to analyze historical data and see patterns and problems.
Help Center. Desk has worked endlessly with us to perfect our Help Center. They are dedicated and willing to work in order to make your product right.
Customization. Though we exceeded the rule limitation for Desk, they have still allowed us to take their product and make it our own. We have our own labeling, and priority system which help us hit important SLAs.
User education. Whenever there is a new feature released, I feel like I'm in the know about it which is extremely important when we've been requesting certain features for a long period of time. Their communication is on point.
Follow up on all conversations that enter and are easy to use by the employee and save responses ready for use.
Find out the average rate of the number of conversations that occur in the company and conduct the analysis.
There is a feature it allows one to take a permit in the name of the employee who responds to the conversation and to know the problem faced by the customer and the solution.
Internal knowledge tools are clunky and annoying to access, outside the regular workflow of everyday staff
Arbitrary and confusing limitations in business rules and custom fields
Arbitrary and confusing limitations in case handling - for example, if you begin a case as a phone call you CANNOT email the customer from the case. As though no one working at Desk has ever sent a follow-up email...?
Not very good for B2B, mid-to-large businesses. Difficult to set business rules based on company information (for example, service level/tier) and nearly impossible to track key stakeholders and get clear insight into the relationship at a high level
Reporting tools are clunky, slow, and just all-around pretty useless
SLA Policies where it is not customer / contract driven but agents / groups driven.
Audit Trail is not available in Pro version makes the tool adoption difficult from compliance perspective.
Chat Bot and Fresh Chat Services has greater potential to explode, but the pricing model tagged to chat bot sessions .are illogical as it limits the ability to use the fresh chat feature
Agent Logon Screen use earlier version of Captcha as it is annoying for the agents to login. Very frustrating experience.
Studio Builder - Can get messy really fast when building.. I'd love a more free-flow setup. Think something like LucidChart where it's all drag and drop. When I'd finish building our trees, it was VERY hard to show our executives because of how chaotic all the lines looked
I'd love to see some additional integration flexibility, aside from Salesforce. We use Help Scout and the inability of "splitting" created interactions from TD to HS creates a challenge with having a CS team and Sales Team. We have to have all inbound calls go through CS and all outbound go through Sales. Then it's just workflow / transfer city
Creating an API that would refresh the Callbar / browser window would be nice to avoid things timing out if we don't have calls going in/out in 1-2 hours. What will happen is that our status will read "Available" but when a call comes in, it'll push to VM until we go and logout / in to refresh the system
We will be very likely to renew our contract with Desk.com. It is easy to use, and provides us with everything we need to keep our customers and employees happy. They have also been very helpful in catering the application to our specific and unique needs, including working across brands and adding specific content for our products
My company that used Freshdesk was acquired by another company that uses Salesforce, so our only reason to keep Freshdesk would be records, but migrating the tickets, notes, and company details from Freshdesk to Salesforce was straightforward enough. Had the acquisition not occurred, we would have renewed Freshdesk because the cost of switching would've been too great in terms of price, time, and sunk cost (our Freshdesk customizations would not port over well).
Renewing the use of talkdesk is a cost-effective solution for our company. By continuing to use it, we can leverage potential cost savings and efficiencies. For instance, talkdesk may have features that automate certain processes or enable better resource allocation, resulting in reduced operational costs. Secondly, renewing the contract contributes to enhanced customer service. Talkdesk likely offers specific functionalities that improve customer satisfaction and support. This could include features such as intelligent routing or real-time analytics that help agents provide personalized assistance and resolve issues more effectively. Thirdly, renewing the contract ensures seamless integration and compatibility with other systems or technologies used in our company. Having a unified system across different departments or functions enhances efficiency and reduces potential disruptions caused by incompatible systems. Moreover, there may be benefits gained from data sharing or streamlined workflows enabled by an integrated platform.
Once it is fully set up with all of the unique and necessary customizations for your organization, it becomes easier to use, but before that, it is not very user-friendly and there are not a lot of training resources available. You likely need a Salesforce admin for initial set-up who is experienced with customization.
I gave it a rating of 9 out of 10 because they delivered on everything we asked them to do. Easy to setup, easy to deploy to end users, easy to customize, easy to enter tickets and so much more. Our experience with their support is top notch! After opening a ticket for support they call use back within 10 minutes every time!
Talkdesk is helpful because we use it to receive calls in our BPO. Not only do we track live ques and statuses from agents, but we also receive feedback from our assessors through the talk desk as well as coaching, and it also stores customer contact data; I can track all my calls, and It records all the calls so we can come back to review them. You can also listen live and track your daily productivity. You can change your aux statuses very quickly, and there was an update talk desk that allows you to queue another status while you are on a call or after-call work, which is a great feature.
I have encountered a lot of errors in the Freshdesk, however, they tend to resolve it on priority or at least they will share the timeline by when this can be resolved. Most of the time the issue has been from the other partner's end. They take time to resolve their vendor issues and they don't have any timelines in case of developed app errors.
Talkdesk is very handy but, sometimes we do face issues were the system can just kick you out and not be able to do calls or receive calls but, what I like about the system once you start refreshing or troubleshooting, everything becomes normal it is a unique system and very modern we don't usually have system issues with Talkdesk.
The reports take a lot of time to download if the time period is large. Also, the tickets take their sweet time to open and load. It is not fast as Zendesk. Only 30 tickets are visible in a single go and there isn't any option to select all. If we need to change the pages and dashboards it takes a lot of time to open.
reports are good until a report is a big one in size then the wait is longer and some call reports delay by an hour or so which is not ideal as we pull these hourly and need them from Work force management perspective and Quality reports are perfectly fine
I always get the support and needed answers in a timely manner. Whether by email, ticket, or call. There's always a solution available or a potential one available. Everything is clear and straight to the point in customer support from Desk. I didn't face any difficulty so far with that.
The main thing about Freshdesk user service is that once a request has been made for information about a feature of the platform, the support team responds to tickets quickly, within a day of writing and submitting them, with information that is concise enough so that there is no need to ask for help on the same topic again.
If Talkdesk had a dedicated phone support line I would have given this rating an overall 10. Their knowledge base is absolutely HUGE and at times very helpful. It's easy to search through and their customer support chat system works perfectly fine, but there are just some times that you need to speak to a human on the phone to ensure you are always on the same page.
In-person training is provided to all the agents and it is very easy to learn the basics of the Freshdesk interface. Solving tickets via dashboards, replying to the guest queries in bulk via Freshdesk. The training which is a bit hard is creating the logic according to the ticket flow and intergeration.
The training that was given to us was very smooth and professional. I give my trainer 10/ 10 rate the training was so smooth and very helpful she would make sure we also watch videos of how to use the system which made it very easier for us and what was interesting it is because, the system is also easy.
This tool is no doubt easy to learn but in-person training is a lot better than online training. It takes time to grasp things in the online training, however, in pandemic we have done all the training online. Apart from a bit more time we haven't faced any issues with online training.
Nothing is perfect!! Needing the ability to repeat the training so everyone was on board was important. Not real sure how many people had to repeat the training as they trained on their own and given 30 minutes at a time.
As I stated earlier, implementation of Desk.com went more smoothly than most. The resources in the "Support Center" are fantastic, and I never ran into anything that left me stumped, angry, or disappointed.
Our team easily implemented Freshdesk, and as soon as we started, we were pros with it. In a matter of days, we had integrated signatures and canned responses. The biggest problem was the Help Center part, but after some time, that was also integrated. We did not know some features when we started, but that is normal.
The implementation and switch from our old software were unproblematic. We experience no issues with our IVR or transferring the number to carry our calls over. All of the information in Talkdesk is also easily synced with our current CRM and is accurate and up to date.
Wix Answers was much better compared to Desk.com. It had more excellent and much better and more tools and was very customizable. Luckily it also had a search tool and also the sort and filter tools. The only thing better than Wix Answers on desk.com was that we could keep internal communication records by adding notes on tickets, and it saved a lot of time.
We evaluated Odoo before; it was a good tool with more features than Freshdesk, making it an all-in-one solution. But it is exactly because it is an All-in-one tool that Freshdesk has more refined features for request management and the portal we have considered.
Talkdesk is a much easier system to utilize and to train on from an agent perspective. Additionally, Talkdesk has far more features than Cisco Finesse, like WFM, caller identification, sentiment, real time call transcriptions, and so much more. Where Cisco Finesse as more of just a call system that allowed us to make and receive calls
My company had Freshdesk agents from support and success. It's generally difficult to customize permissions for different agent "roles." We were a fully distributed company, so "multiple sites" doesn't apply to us. We found Freshdesk features lacking as we grew our customer base, and adding agents wasn't easy because price steeply increases with number of agents.
talk desk has helped us massively with flexibility of one system giving us all the relevant information we need to be able to drive improvement and also good service from work force management to quality improvement to the reporting of the work and inputs going in and assess outputs to determine the success of our work and remaining development areas
It has definitely had a positive impact by helping our team quickly address issues people are having with our product.
Desk.com has helped our team and company get better by addressing customer and tester issues faster, and tracking data so that our team can improve the quality and speed of all of our outgoing communications.
We automate all the questions and concerns our clients may have, and we have countless solutions ready thanks to this platform.
It allows us to help our clients in any language with automatic translations on both sides, making it easier to provide solutions to clients and potential clients' needs.
It allows for centralized ticket-based query management, where we can apply resolutions and follow up on cases without resorting to tedious emails, all through live chat.
