SAP SuccessFactors is a suite of HR/HCM products covering these capability areas: core HR and payroll, recruiting and onboarding, learning and development, performance and compensation management, workforce analytics and planning, and employee experience management.
Frontline is well suited for an organization such as a school district where teachers sometimes need to put in for a substitute at the last minute or especially early in the morning. The system also helps with substitutes in picking up the jobs when a teacher puts in an absence.
Suited for centralised global operations to provide a consistent process framework. User experience support with the integration of AI, Assisted Learning and embedded Service Centre. It more suited for a larger business with people with the necessary technical skills to administer it. It has some great integration capabilities and new enhancements taking place on a regular basis. Initial setup is significant and may be a challenge without the resources in skills, time and cost to put in place.
The product is straightforward to use. The product allows instant edits if a mistake is made and is very helpful in keeping track of individual employee working hours.
Use of the platform ensures that your business is connected to a global workforce experience powered by modern HR technologies and AI.
Implementation of the software ensures an excellent workforce experience and accelerates overall business performance.
Teachers cannot cancel their own absence. We have to ask the office staff to do so. This is irritating when an absence must be canceled (Due to a canceled professional development, for example).
Sometimes absences go unfilled. It would be great if AESOP could have a roster of qualified substitutes to cover absences.
You cannot assign your absence to a particular substitute if you know he or she is available and a good fit for your absence.
Can easily be over complicated and not intuitive (probably user error due to too much bespoke processing allowed at implementation)
Reporting. Some of the basic stuff is good as is advanced analytics. Stories takes too long to load, tiles are not usable. Better automated reporting without going through an API build in IT
No visibility of the proper field names in SF. In ERP you could press F1 and see the proper field name which helped in problem solving
Long time customer with Frontline Absence Management. Product support has been excellent, integrations easy to work with, & suite of products mesh together well.
We have put a vast amount of time and effort into our installation- and there is more work to be done, but the system has a lot of benefits that we plan to maximize and optimize in order to generate the greatest value for everyone involved
While we have had minor issues logging in as our organization has its own login page, the site and its application are very easy to use. So long as members of a group log in through the appropriate page, navigating and using this site is quite easy. With the transition from Aesop to Frontline, the page also seems to have worked through any glitches found with the previous page and its app.
1. User training is required to be acquainted with the technology, but better output is achieved while automating most tasks. 2. Data-driven decision making in terms of performance, hiring, review, and compensation. 3. Better scale-based talent search from the talent pool. 4. better integration performance with SAP products like SAP MM, SAP FICO, SAP Sales, SAP SD, etc.
Until now we have not had serious availability problems with SuccessFactors, we had Microsoft Active Directory and SSO with ADFS and we had availability problems but because of problems with ADFS, we migrated to Azure AD and with that the availability problems of SuccessFactors because of ADFS went away. The only windows of unavailability that we have had are those that we are communicated to do maintenance and upgrades.
The performance is very good, the truth is that we have not had serious performance problems, some complex reports may take a little longer, but considering the complexity and the amount of records it is an acceptable time. We have never received a complaint from users regarding page loading speed.
Internal support is provided by EDU Staff based out of Grand Rapids. Whenever I have had an issue they are very responsive to my needs. For instance, there may be conflicts in the amount of money that was listed for the contract. There may be questions about the length of an assignment such as 1/2 day, full day, or early dismissal. The school will sometimes enter the wrong information. Very good IT support, but sometimes you are on hold for 5 to 10 minutes because they do not have enough workers in their Call Center
SAP SuccessFactors has been a easy to implement tool with low risks for a sensitive thing like employee feedback. It provides powerful performance in the backend functionalities, and at the same time a great look and feel for the employees. Totally recommended.
Our Implementer/Trainer was a product line expert. He (Connor) walked us through every step with confidence and explained everything in detail. Frontline provided written documentation, cut-n-paste emails to staff, and a test environment for us to play in. We were able to test unique scenarios without actually sending emails, notifications, alerts to staff. This was very useful.
The in-person training was with a consultancy, we have taken several courses, all very specific. They have been reports in ecp, general configuration of ec, reports and IAS
We use SAP Learning, and we like it very much, the topics are updated along with the products, we have access to the SFX customer certifications and we have done them all, in general the SAP learning platform is very good and complete.
As we were new with all this, we would greatly appreciate if we had assitance directly from SAP so we can implement the modules with all of its features and best practices. Unfortunately, we notice that the partner left some thing incomplete.
Frontline seems to be the industry standard for this software in the education industry. I am not familiar with any competitors or what was evaluated prior to implementing Frontline. For it to be the industry standard, I would assume that its cost is fair in relation to competitors and that the onboarding process is simple.
SAP SuccessFactors is a very user-friendly application, it stacks up very well against competition, such as Oracle PeopleSoft HCM. We selected SAP SuccessFactors because we are already using a lot of other SAP solutions, such as SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform. It allows us to have single-sign on and one vendor with multiple solutions.
Our district has approximately 300 substitutes & 1,800 employees. Size has never been an issue with Absence Management. There are other districts much larger using Absence Management with no problems
The scalability and flexibility of SuccessFactors is unbeatable. It is very easy to scale the product to new countries and areas, and with the help of CPI it can be easily integrated.
We did use this service to do analysis of the solution being implemented. It was a good check point during the project to see if everything is going as planned.
It's given staff direct access to inputting their absences and secure coverage quicker, whereas before they had to make a call to a person. That person had to secure coverage for the entire district at different levels. Sometimes that person was absent or unable to provide coverage.
Definitely SAP SuccessFactors helps in delivering a superior employee experience as it gives the employee control over the relevant information required
It solves the purpose of dealing with employee related activities with the help of technology which otherwise would require investment of manpower and time cost
Unified view of SAP SuccessFactors on a mobile app give an employee the flexibility to manage things on the go
