INFUSE vs. OpenText Magellan vs. smartocto

From our first exchange they have been very responsive. They listen carefully to our needs and importantly they deliver against our requirements. They are agile, flexible and come to the table with new ideas. We at Siemens see them as a strategic partner at this stage and I hope we continue to work productively in to the future.

If you do not have a large budget and are a large organization, I would steer clear of Actuate. If you are looking to do very complex washboarding, I would not use them. Your developers have to be very skilled to work with this. Plan to bring in consultants if necessary to help your process. Adhoc reporting is weak. If your pricing is user based and you expand, this could be very expensive.

Great for setting up MEL measurements for web based media. Great for use in media environments especially where there is no dedicated data analytics staff. Not sure how useful it would be for those sites that are not content focused.

• I think providing a quarterly highlights document would be particularly helpful without asking. We ask every quarter and it creates a bit of a bottleneck for us.
• Communication via email can get exhausting. Can we explore having a joint Slack channel for collaboration?

• The standard look & feel of some basic options, like parameter selection or sorting and filtering, looks dated and can't be customized

I am no longer working for the company that was using Actuate but I believe they would continue to use it because the stitching costs would be to high. It would require a complete rewrite of the reports and the never version of Actuate (BIRT) even required an almost complete report rewrite

INFUSE was able to get our campaigns up and running, allowing us the ability to migrate qualified leads down to our sales team. INFUSE also went a step above, by providing call scripts and prescribed touchpoints along the qualifing journey, allowing our sales teams more time to schedule follow-up meetings and create opportunities that generated potential review.

It is quite intuitive to use. It is fit specifically for doing sentiment, emotion, and intention analysis as well as text classification and text summarization. I would have given 10 if it is fit for the purpose of doing image processing and analysis as well. There is a huge market to analyze video and image data.

smartocto is a very user-friendly tool, with a smart & clean interface.

Luckily, we haven't had to submit too many support tickets. For the few tickets we have had to submit, the support team was able to send us updates right away. They were very well-versed in our issues and worked with our third-party vendors on our integration issues. We had a very pleasant experience working with their support team.

I've found INFUSEmedia to have more diverse and customizable versions of content syndication than other partners that we have considered and run with. Their pricing is competitive and the value adds they have provided for certain strategies have further helped them to stack up well against the competition. Additionally, their team has been enjoyable to work with on a day to day basis given their level of support and responsiveness.

It is vastly superior to these in many ways, for complex reporting it is a much more sophisticated solution. Visualizations are very good. Javascript extensibility is very powerful, others don't support this or as well. Pentaho and MS are both OLAP oriented. Pentaho is moving more toward big data, which was not our primary focus. Others are stuck in the Crystal Reports Band metaphor.

smartocto is much easier to use and is perfectly setup so that newsrooms can see the information they need in a quick and easy-to-use format.

• CPL is very competitive compared to other platforms we use. We are very happy with the cost efficiency.
• We've seen great quality from titles, and Sales conversations with leads.
• Quanity of leads has grown considerably - esp in APAC - they seem to have great partners in that region.

• Actuate can handle 50 to 60 sub reports inside a report very well.
• Dynamically creating the datasource, chart, graph, reports are the main advantages. We can do any level of drilling, and can create a performance matrix dashboard efficiently.
