Enhanced Screencast integration to share content, plus the newest starter Assets for Snagit
Microsoft Teams offers a wider variety of app integration, but Trello does a better job of organizing to do lists / check lists / tasks, etc. Because of this we use Trello within Microsoft Teams to organize various boards of work, which provides the best of both worlds. Other …
I think Teams is ahead of the game. Its tight integration with the Microsoft suite has no rival. Having Azure as the backend provides a secure environment in the cloud with content accessible anytime anywhere. Microsoft is heavily investing in the product and constantly adding …
Some other ones that we're considered were gimp and greenshot. Snipping tool was the default since it comes pre-installed with windows. The others were shareware and free but lacked a lot of premium features that were in most paid software. Snagit checked all of the requirement …
Snagit has far greater functionality than the standard Control Alt Print Screen to capture images. Once you've used Snagit to capture an image, it can easily edited to serve its purpose in either use on a website, in office productivity tools, or in outward-facing collateral …
Native screen shot (snipping tool) is fine for basic screen shots and minor annotation. Snagit requires less time and does not need to have the images separately saved to have them be particularly useful.
Our organization does not use any other application to do what Snagit does. People in organization that do not have Snagit are using default Windows features (e.g., snipping tool). Compared to the snipping tool, Snagit is a lot more powerful and a way better application.
Windows snipping tool. While it is a nice tool it does not have all of the editing features of Snagit. You can grab a quick picture but you can't select a specific object only. And once you have saved it you will need another editing tool to make modifications to the image.
Snagit is a much better capture or screen shot tool and almost solves all the issues most other screen capture tools run into. It is very user friendly and has many functions, detail visualizations, and annotation tools which make using the tool easy and fun to use. Other tools …
Positive: The virtual workspace created for a work team within the same company, for the resemblance of information and communications in one place.Negative: The access for members of a non-profit organization who have external emails from the host but need the same access as an internal person since their volunteer work is part of the very core of the federation.
Let's say you are on a webinar or online meeting and want to take several screen shots of what is on the screen and save all of them. Rather than opening Windows snipping tool (or other free products) and needing to save each one as fast as you can, SnagIt saves all of them and you can go back and delete the ones you don't want. Capture the entire screen quickly or do a region for only a portion of the screen. Very handy. SnagIt also provides easy ways to add your edits to the screen shot in a professional way. Rather than trying to "hand draw" a circle around the item you want to bring attention to, you can use professional tools for circles and rectangles to highlight a specific area for someone to see right away when looking at this screen shot
Being able to take screen captures quickly and with just a keystroke is a prime feature. I took several screenshots just yesterday to show folks, which saved me from taking the time to meet with [...] everyone.
Obviously recording and sharing video is Snagit's strength. It does this as well as any product I have used. It is not an editor but there are a lot of capture features that cover just about any situation.
One great feature that Snagit has is the ability to pull text from a capture. We don't use this a lot but when it is needed it is a huge time saver.
The settings and tools within Snagit are intuitive and easy to find.
The feature of notifications in the mobile application could be improved. Sometimes notifications of different teams are not visible and are only visible when the application is opened.
It uses lots of computational resources while running and thus, slows down the system sometimes.
It allows a few channels per team. The number of channels could be increased for better productivity.
Microsoft Teams is included with our Office 365 subscription and we have no intention of migrating off of Office 365 and Microsoft products. Since Microsoft Teams is included for free with our Office 365 subscription, and since we enjoy all the features, benefits, and functionality, there is no question that our team will continue to use the product
I think that the tool is excellent for what it is being used for. I particuarly like the ability to capture content from the screen whilst using the scroll wheel on my mouse. It is very annoying when your try to capture something with grab and you can't scroll which leads to multiple images
User experience has been much better than the previous Skype for Business app. It has an easy-to-use interface with persistent chats. The search feature is very fast and useful. MS Teams has mostly focused on Collaboration and team building features which are very useful for organizational communications. Since Teams is accessible from multiple platforms like Laptop, Desktop, Mobile phones, etc it has been very convenient from a Mobility perspective.
It's button centric for easy access to every feature. Everything allows undo! It works like any other standard Windows application. Everyone can be a professional without having to select every feature yourself by using the built in styles with just one click of a button in most cases. Every button is clearly labeled too.
Using Microsoft Teams has resulted in much faster business communications with both co-workers and consultants. There has been little need for support with this software as the interface is very intuitive and the product is overall very well designed. We did encounter an issue with the built-in phone service, however, this was quickly resolved by the support team.
I've actually never had to contact support as the tool is easy to use. One aspect is that they upgrade and send email notifications of the upgrades. They don't charge extra for upgrades and their enhancements fall in line with the way we use the tool. We haven't had to submit any upgrade requests as the tool already does what we need it to do.
It's a simple next next finish install. The SnagIt Library in the user profile should probably be backed up to make sure they have access to their old screen captures. We frequently will go back to previous captures and add context bubbles etc. when software changes to show the "old" vs "new". Also, go to SnagIt's website and download the additional Stamp Sets for the user. These are terrific. I wish there was one download to get them all, but you have to download and install them one set at a time. It's worth it - especially for training how-to's.
Our company and IT department previously used Skype for our communication needs. Skype was not dependable in my opinion, because it seems each time I used it during a call and/or a meeting, I and several other team members would get disconnected more than once. This caused a great interruption of our meeting, caused team members to have to ask others to repeat themselves and caused a general lack of interest in employee attendance during meetings.
PhotoShop is of course a very powerful image editing tool. But, the learning curve is steep and all the tools and settings aren't necessary for our needs. Snagit is a streamlined solution for capturing videos, creating gifs, and editing images. (It also supports capturing screenshots, including scrolling/panoramic ones, but we use a different tool). Snagit's ability to capture images + videos and immediately open the editor to edit those images or videos makes the entire process faster, simpler, and easier. We've raised the possibility as a team of switching to PhotoShop, but for now I prefer using Snagit for our needs.
Honestly, this tool is worth every penny. Yes, it's not free and you pay for the quality of services and the license. But the ROI and the benefits are all there. Also, the renewal, negotiation, and contract terms are all very well explained by our Microsoft account manager, and she's a charm.
I used Skype for Business to take calls, hold conferences, and provide remote assistance to users. Microsoft Teams, on the other hand, is superior to Skype for Business in my opinion. My job entails a lot of screen sharing.
