Considered Both Products
Moz Pro
Chose Moz Pro
Moz Pro fit our needs and offered competitive features to Semrush. Semrush may be more fit for larger businesses or those looking for multi domain support. Moz offers multiple domain support, but may not be as intuitive as Semrush. Ultimately Moz affords us all of the tools we …
Chose Moz Pro
Moz Pro feels more user-friendly as the interface is very intuitive. There are also lots of user guides and content about SEO strategy.
Chose Moz Pro
GShift has better customer service and consulting to get your SEO strategy off the group, but is limited in its scope and depth of analytics. Ahrefs, Semrush, and Moz are very comparable in their approaches, just with different levels of focus on keyword tracking, backlinks, …
Chose Moz Pro
Moz Pro and Ahrefs each have their own strengths, and we use both. There is a lot of overlap between the two, but I find that there are certain things that each does better. For keyword research, backlink analysis, and site crawls, we generally gravitate toward Moz Pro because …
Chose Moz Pro
The main thing that we liked [about] Moz Pro is the insights / dashboard (besides its colors). We do think it's better then the others tools we checked.
Chose Moz Pro
A[s] we all know Ahref or Semrush are very expensive tools. Startups cannot buy these tools. Moz Pro is reasonable and it gives you multiple features at [a] lower price.
Chose Moz Pro
Moz has a larger crawl limit than SEMrush, which helps tremendously if you have a large site (e.g. my site having 100,000+ pages). Moz's ranking data also provides data for Bing and Yahoo, whereas SEMrush doesn't. SEMrush has a lot of insight for PPC, but it was something that …
Chose Moz Pro
Moz is different and has a different workflow. Moz is geared towards a mommy blogger and easier to use. It was easy for our beginners on our team to use and less complicated than AHrefs of SEMRush.
Chose Moz Pro
Moz emerged as an industry leader with a great reputation for driving optimal SEO performance and ROI for customers. Moz' thought leadership on all things SEO gave us a lot of confidence to invest and partner with them. The wide array of product features was also something that …
Chose Moz Pro
Moz Pro is a nice intro tool that got us started on our SEO journey. We have chosen to supplement our Moz Pro account with other SEO tools to get a full picture of our SEO landscape and make a bigger impact on our rankings. I would recommend Moz Pro as a good start for a …
Chose Moz Pro
We looked at Semrush, and while it looks like a more advanced platform, it was just too much for our needs and where our team was starting at. We needed something with a learning curve that wasn't nearly as steep. If we did more with paid search, though, I might take another …
Chose Moz Pro
Moz tends to be more consistent with their data/metrics. Their crawler is also pretty powerful and able to pick up large sets of pages where some other tools may fall short.
Chose Moz Pro
Compared to full-service keyword platforms like Conductor, Moz blows it out of the water in terms of pricepoint and value. Moz is insanely cheap compared to something like Conductor, and it seem to offer just as much value. As long as you're just looking to get basic numbers in …
Chose Moz Pro
Moz is comprehensive while SEM rush focused on backlinks and monetary value. I think if Moz implemented SEM rush strategy or features and lower their monthly cost, it will surely dominate. Moz staff is super helpful as they have insiders that reaches out to enterprise users. …
Chose Moz Pro
The two closest competitors are Ahrefs and SEMrush, with additional tools upmarket.

Each platform has its own strengths, and we use all three at FMI. For Moz, we most like the Keyword Explorer toolset and its recommendation engine and filtering mechanisms - it's a big difference …
Chose Moz Pro
I think all SEO tools have their pros and cons, but Moz is a heavy hitter. They are the resident authority for educating SEO's, and that is for a reason. Their product works well. I wouldn't say it is head and shoulders above any competitors, but it gets the job done. When it …
Chose Moz Pro
Personally I think Moz is one of the top tools being used in the market for search engine optimization. It provides great insights, is easy to use and is easy to read and understand with their simple and comprehensive dashboard. I personally choose to use SEMRush above all …
Chose Moz Pro
SEMRush is a great competitor tool but is a bit weak on the "SEO Campaign" side of things, where you can track specific rankings and onsite issues, etc. Their "Projects" section comes close though, and I probably just need to spend more time with SEMrush to discover everything …
Chose Moz Pro
Moz had all the features that I was looking for to help us scale our in-house SEO and content marketing strategy. We had previously reviewed several other vendors but the price point and the features offered did not match up to our needs. The ease of use and the time to …
Chose Moz Pro
Moz seemed to be more user-friendly than SEMRush and Screaming Frog, and it allows us to do what we need to do (identifying issues with our site, keyword planning, competitor comparisons, etc). Other services would most likely provide more in-depth analyses and crawling …
Chose Moz Pro
Moz is simple to use. It lacks the depth in backlinks database compared to Ahrefs, and Ahrefs perhaps does a little better in automatically figuring what keywords you rank for compared to MoZ. But overall Moz has some other strengths that make it an all-round package. It is …
Chose Moz Pro
I like that I don't need to download anything to use all of the features MOZ has to offer. It is all contained online, so I don't have to open separate applications. And the cost is extremely reasonable.
Chose Moz Pro
I prefer Moz Pro to SEMRush and Ahrefs Site Explorer because I think it is much easier to use and understand. I believe it can be used along with Spyfu because Spyfu has alot of Google Adwords information that can be used in competition analysis that moz doesn't have. These two …
Chose Moz Pro
MOZ is a great beginner tool but there are more advanced tools out there like Ahrefs that allow you to do even more and have live crawl indexes for making decisions in almost real time. When you compare the crawl depth of other tools to MOZ, you can see where MOZ is lagging …
Yoast
Chose Yoast
Yoast is different from other SEO tools because it's the most simple, user-friendly tool and its built straight into WordPress. It belongs there! You don't have to do any copy/pasting or using any other third-party tools. You just draft your content, and Yoast gives you all the …
Chose Yoast
I use All in One SEO as well, which is just as big as Yoast so not sure why it's not in your list. They compliment each other quite well.
Chose Yoast
Yoast WordPress SEO Plugins is better than some other apps only because it is integrated into your WordPress. You have everything inside your dashboard. Sure, there are some other more powerful SEO tools, but Yoast is right where you need it. The best way is to use it alongside …
Chose Yoast
Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins was a little easier to understand and offered a real-time guided plugin that helped me write throughout my drafting process. Semrush was much more helpful as a reporting tool, not so much in content creation. Both tools are useful in different ways, …
Chose Yoast
Yoast is one of the best SEO plugins, because it really gamifies the ability to achieve the optimum SEO reach for your content.
Chose Yoast
We've looked at All in One SEO as a replacement to Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins. The paid version offers many of the same features as the premium version of Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins, however our writers and editors insisted on Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins. Yoast Wordpress SEO …
Chose Yoast
Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins is the best plugin that is available for Wordpress and it is preferable because of its multi-dimensional uses to ensure better rank of your contents in the search engine. Which will actually bring you a huge amount of traffic for your website. That's …
Chose Yoast
The only other plugin I've used that's similar is the all-in-one SEO pack, but it wasn't visible in the options above. Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugin is different from Moz because it's on your website and will actually make edits to your website, whereas Moz contains external tools …
Chose Yoast
Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins are very easy to get started. Its suggestion for focus keywords and readability score based on the content helps us to quickly publish search engine-friendly web pages. Unlike other popular SEO products, Yoast plugins are integrated into WordPress …
Chose Yoast
Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins cannot be compared to the rest. It contains utilities that none of the other plugins in the aggregate have. I probably tried everything that is under WordPress, and yet Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins turned out to be the best. A few years ago, he …
Chose Yoast
Yoast doesn't even compare to these other products. I would spend more time learning about SEO and doing everything yourself rather than trusting Yoast to do it for you. I chose Yoast only because of the off-platform websites we have and the clients wanted to understand the …
Chose Yoast
Yoast has the large user base and the support is great. Learning Yoast is easy for those who are beginners in search engine optimization. Squirrly is very expensive and apt for medium size businesses. It has limits almost in all the features. Page-level SEO is great in Yoast. …
Chose Yoast
It does not appear to be on the list, but the one SEO plugin that we have tested against Yoast is All In One SEO Pack. After comparing the two we decided on Yoast as we felt that overall it just did a better job. If we didn't have Yoast that would be our second choice. In …
Chose Yoast
Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins is popular, has excellent reviews. It is easy to use and has video tutorials for beginners, it is also not very expensive, and many of the plugins are free to use. It is well known in the industry and more suitable for the purpose we needed in our …
Chose Yoast
Yoast's free tools compete, with the affordability of the premium plugin making it an even better deal. We briefly used SEMRush due to a partnership with a local SEO firm at my previous position, and while it was also fantastic service, I found that it was significantly more …
Chose Yoast
We used the All In One SEO WordPress plugin for years on multiple websites. Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins is superior both in terms of easy configuration and use. The feature set is also advanced. The most noticeable improvement is the built-in Yoast SEO Analysis ranking system, …
Chose Yoast
I've looked at a few other SEO plugins, such as the Premium SEO Pack, WP Meta, and All in One SEO Pack, but I haven't found anything that has the same set of tools and simplified interface. The ease of use and out-of-the-box tools are what have me committed to using Yoast.
Chose Yoast
There are certainly other useful SEO plugins but it's rare to find one that's also free and this fully featured. Yoast is one of the top 5 WordPress plugins on the market, so you know that it's well supported and that it has staying power, which are important considerations for …
Chose Yoast
All in One SEO Pack is a direct Yoast WordPress SEO competitor, but it lacks the functionality and support the latter has. While they both do a good job of making sure your WordPress website is SEO optimized, Yoast goes one step further and does a really nice analysis of your …
Chose Yoast
Yoast is unique in the sense that it makes implementing SEO recommendations that we pull from the other comparable tools a real breeze! It's simple to use and saves hours that would ordinarily be used for training and can be used for the implementation of recommendations. No …
Chose Yoast
An affordable (free if you don't want or need the premium version) alternative to some of the other options! If you're running a simple site with minimal plugins that may cause conflict, then I feel Yoast SEO plugins are very beneficial. Their website has a lot of good articles …
Chose Yoast
Yoast is the most popular choice and deservedly so. We experimented with other plugins, but none of them matched it in quality.
Chose Yoast
Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins is the simple solution that most small businesses are looking for. It gives you quick easy tips that can be followed according to best practices. If you're looking to increase your SEO investment, you can pay for bigger tools like SEMRush that give …

Moz Pro is best if you are an absolute beginner with SEO and need tools that are easy to use. It is designed more so for the blogger and not necessarily for the SEO professional. If I were them I would totally market that angle better. It just makes sense.

For quick WordPress installations and configurations, Yoast is fast to set up and helps guide you through the common configuration options. It tries to be helpful whether you are coming at things from a technical or non-technical background. The emphasis on white hat SEO topics like improved content, keywords, descriptions, and titles is really appreciated by someone like me who doesn't utilize gray and black hat SEO tactics.
If you are an SEO expert, and you want finite control of each individual aspect of your site, Yoast, like most plugins, engines, tools, etc, hides a lot from you or gives you limited options. It really is meant for someone who wants to apply a general strategy to a whole site. That being said, you can manage Yoast per page on a WordPress site, but even then, I know some SEO experts prefer other tools that are meant for very specific purposes.
Overall, Yoast is the best plugin for SEO in WordPress when applied as a whole.

Pros
  • Keyword rank tracking is on-point. You can easily tag on competitors and get ranks for them as well, which rules.
  • Moz has a great section for links—I especially use the Discovered and Lost reporting, which lists new domains linking to your site, and domains that dropped out, plus a DA for each. Clients eat this stuff up.
  • SERP Features is great as well—this is another thing that clients are thrilled to see: examples of keywords where fun SERP features appear. It's sort of a little thing, but the ease which Moz makes it available is great—the optics on this kind of thing to clients is outstanding.

  • Redirect tool - easy, automated detection and setup.

Cons
  • Backlink database is limited
  • Industry specific jargons and mentions would be helpful
  • Error tracking is very misleading
  • Duplicate pages marking each page even when it’s not duplicate. In other words this algorithm is too sensitive. Provide ability or control to user to set the sensitivity of the duplicate page check

  • Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugin is really good at copy and link scanning and optimizing, however, I have not been able to find any assistance on image optimization on our pages and posts. That would be a good update!
  • Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugin is good at ranking pages and posts individually. I would like to see an overall dashboard of your entire website/blog's SEO health according to the software.

We've been paying monthly for Moz for at least four years. We rely heavily on it for our daily work, and would need to re-engineer many of our processes if we were to cancel our subscription. I suspect we'll continue to use Moz as long as we are in business (assuming they maintain their quality).

it's easy to use once you get the hang of it and most people with any sort of background in using online tools and analytics systems can figure it out. it's just not as intuitive as it could be like google webmaster tools or Adobe (Site Catalyst)

It's super easy to use. Really, it requires little-to-know tutorials or walkthroughs at all — it explains everything you need to know in the description and tooltips built straight into the tool. I've never had to google a how-to or tutorial to use Yoast — it just works, and it works well

I have not had a ton of interaction with the support team. Mostly asking questions where I cannot find the answer or where the data did not quite make sense. I always use their easy to access chat feature to talk to support. They are very responsive and very well informed and can usually solve my issue with just one chat session.

I gave it a 4 just because it is helpful if you are just getting started with SEO, it guides you and shows you what you need to do in order for your website to be up and running properly. As a seasoned SEO analyst I wouldn't recommend it just because I can do things better my way.

Return on Investment
  • Here I can easily find competitor's ranking keywords and their backlinks. It also gives you another exciting feature where you can compare two domains at the same time.
  • The thing that I don't like about this software is, that sometimes your page can take too much time for crawling.

  • Findability: I love few things more than hearing, "I just found you on Google!" and knowing that they found us on Google because our SEO is on point.
  • Using the Yoast SEO Plugin over time has taught me to create better, more optimized content from the start, rather than having to edit that content after I realize it's not very SEO friendly. This saves a lot of time and lets me put my energy into other things.
  • The plugin has helped us make our sometimes-dense content more readable and sharable, which absolutely improves stakeholder engagement.
