Likelihood to Recommend myStaffingPro is very easy to configure and setup and takes less than 2 business days to configure and get it up and running. It facilitates the HR Business Partners in their recruitment activities. For the Open Position in the Organization, with the use of the software, they can quickly shortlist the candidates with quick mix and match of the requirements. Interviews can be scheduled with the candidate. If a Candidate is selected, the proper background screening process is initiated and finally, the Onboarding process is also tightly integrated within the software.
Read full review Paylocity has everything I need for HR all in one place. The onboarding procedure works very easily. I was concerned because we hire a lot of plant workers who are not used to a computer. But the process is fairly easy and they can even do most of it from their phone. Sometimes if they are loading the I9 documents, their phones won't allow it, but we just have them bring them in , scan them and add them onto their file. It is easy and not much of a problem.
Read full review Pros One strength of myStaffingPro is because of its heavy manual interface, there is a lot of detail and very specific reason codes. This is very useful for later reporting to get specific information on hires and rejects. Also the ability to upload documents (CVs, resumes, phone screen notes, etc) is all located in a convenient place The calendar function is good, there are stop measures to prevent double booking and the time zones are preset Read full review Provides the majority of our data for our employees and reporting in one software product. Once setup; the Onboarding feature makes bringing in new employees very smooth while collecting and completing all compliance information from the candidate themselves. Performance Module with Journals provides a good platform for documenting positive as well as disciplinary events. Read full review Cons This product is not particularly easy to use because it is not intuitive. It is difficult to generate accurate reports. It is difficult to add notes and find particular requisitions. Does not integrate well with our internal system in changes candidates to employees. If a step in the hiring process is missed, it does not give any notifications. Read full review Competency of Dedicated Customer Service Reps: These individuals' competency range varies greatly. We have had reps assigned to us who couldn't compose a legible email and couldn't answer questions promptly. We've had other reps who didn't share their names. We've had other reps that were incredibly knowledgeable and responsive to our inquiries. The Scheduling Tool: This tool doesn't speak to time sheets. Cost centers used on the scheduling tool are overridden by "rules" inside the timesheet program, and there's no way to override this element. This results in hours of manual entry that need to be done every payroll. Help Tools: The general help database is TOO cumbersome to the extent that it is unusable in many/most cases. The videos in the Training Catalog are wonderful; however, they are often outdated and use mobile device applications as the example vs. desktop or both (e.g., some of the time and labor videos). Reports: The report writer is usable; however, the last update with an AI search bar is clunky and hasn't been helpful. Read full review Likelihood to Renew If I were a decision maker, I would not choose to renew myStaffingPro because of the overly manual process and lost productivity. I've found other ATS's that have the same functionality but are more intuitive, user friendly and appealing. Getting a hold of customer service and support was difficult and they were rarely able to fix the immediate issue.
Read full review We have had many issues with the way our platform was set up at implementation that still continue to plague us. In addition, our benefits, in particular our FSA, have been mis-managed causing a balance due from an employee (and also a lot of work for our accounting and HR team, as well as stress for the employee). Our service rep continues to answer incorrectly on many fronts (original response is usually check out this paylocity article, vs. helping) and recently our COBRA management was mishandled (not adding Dental to a person on Cobra who had requested it). So- all in all...we are not particularly happy w/ Paylocity
Read full review Usability I have used a lot of applicant tracking systems in my career. I've always gone back to MSP saying that it's always been my favorite. It's easy to use, I've never worked with a system so easy to use. It's also easy to figure out if you don't know where something is located - you can typically figure it out on your own without having to ask anyone.
Read full review I find Paylocity to be almost too robust so that its functionalities are sometimes too complex to use. Sometimes it appears that they don't get a user's experience and keep a software developers mindset which doesn't always work well with users that are not at their technical level of expertise. A perfect example is the way the payroll dashboard USED to look compared to the recent update
Read full review Reliability and Availability They are good about scheduling maintenance during overnight periods. There have been a few server issues with the e-signature system over the weekends.
Read full review Paylocity support is always available and I never have to wait endlessly on hold. If our dedicated account manage is not available, there is an entire team assigned to our account. Every one of them is knowledgeable about our organization and Paylocity's process.

Read full review Support Rating We recently had an issue where it was brought to our attention by a candidate that specializes in Information Assurance and Network Engineering that their site was missing a secure socket layer for entering in your ssn, which means that when entering it, your ssn is in plain text in plain site. It should hide it with dots or asterisks as you type it to make it secure like when you enter passwords online. I turned off the field that collects SSN's immediately and have been waiting for a response as to when this would be updated so I could turn it back on. I submitted this to our rep back in October 2013 and they said they would forward it to their IT team. I never received any further follow up as to whether or not they would be updating this. I sent a follow up email and left voice messages asking for a status update in Jan. 2014 with no response. I finally called again at the end of Feb. 2014 and emailed. The rep seemed put out that I was telling her I was frustrated with the lack of follow through and that I told her I needed a response on whether or not this would be resolved. She then forwarded me an email from the IT team that said they didn't think this was an actual requirement, they would look into it. Today she emailed to let me know the IT team will not be making any changes. Whether or not the issue above is a DoD issue or not, the length of time to receive the final response was way too long and involved too much follow up on my part. The fact that they are unwilling to update the SSN field is also troublesome. Even if this is not an actual DoD violation or a mandate, it's a pretty common practice on most websites for collecting private information. Would you enter your PIN number into an ATM if it showed your PIN number until you hit enter? Identity theft is very high these days and people should feel like the company cares enough to help provide that extra layer of protection of their personal information. This recent development has really changed my opinion of MyStaffingPro drastically since I last wrote my review
Read full review Everyone wants immediate assistance. Awaiting a response from an email only to ask 2-3 more questions is time consuming. Within the first six months of setup, I would rather respond back to the instructors who provided me the training in each category of my contract.
Read full review In-Person Training I didn't have in-person training, but I'm sure it was just as great as any other training/assistance Paylocity provides. Paylocity customer service is always available. You never have to be on hold and their answers are always accurate and timely. Documents in the help section are helpful as well. My in-person training was conducted y one of our employees who was involved in the initial set-up and training of all employees. She was excellent.
Read full review Online Training The training was live online, but was with a group of other companies. We did not receive any personalized training with our team. Whenever we would ask for training, we would be sent a peak article link or a video. It felt like the reps we dealt with didn't know the answer to the questions.
Read full review Implementation Rating I had gone through an implementation process of another HR platform (Paycom) in my previous job and was traumatized, it was painful. I was surprised how easy and fast it was with Paylocity, the team was very helpful and set us up for success
Read full review Alternatives Considered We thought it would've been better than ADP, but it wasn't. Also, the sales person who sold us on Paychex promised that this and Paychex would be able to do a lot of things we needed, which turned out to be a lie when we were implementing it, and the MyStaffingPro expert told us it wasn't possible, and it never was. It wasn't as user friendly either.
Read full review The cost of doing business and quality of customer service is much better with Paylocity than either of the other two companies. I don't know the other vendors the company has used, although I know there at least a couple more. They tend to stay with a vendor for quite a few years before changing and there is always a catalyst other than cost that triggers the change. The company is about 40 years old, but obviously, none of the staff have been here for that length of time. Even the original owners are no longer here so I am limited to the history. I do know that for several years they did payroll inhouse.

So they're more inclined to stay connected. We use the community a lot, which really helps us deliver messages to all our employees across the board. So I feel like that's been a big return on investment as far as employee engagement goes. But as far as actual dollars go, it's been the most bang for our buck that we've ever had in our payroll system. Read full review ScreenShots myStaffingPro Screenshots
