Paycor provides core HR functions scaled towards small and mid-sized businesses. Paycor offers an integrated benefits platform for interfacing directly with insurance carriers and an adaptable time management platform.
Netchex is great if you want to log in to one place to take care of all things employee-related. It is especially helpful if you have multiple locations or divisions as you can easily set these up and manage them as needed. The more employees you have, the more you will benefit from a program like Netchex that provides so much support for your business. Our company has multiple locations of stores and many employee position levels and Netchex has been great at keeping all of this simple when a lessor product could make it much more complicated. Netchex would not be as appropriate if you have a very small business or a simple payroll structure. It would definitely still work well for you, it would just be more sophisticated than you would require.
Payroll is best suited to tracking down employees' performance and their activities during working hours. It also showcases overall employee and company performance percentages. The candidate management feature helps to maintain any applicant's data, and there is a feedback option that they provide in the platform.
My Netchex Service Team is very responsive and friendly. They are willing and able to spend the amount of time needed on one call to troubleshoot most problems or answer questions.
Their recent updates to the employee dashboard have been well-received by our seasonal team. Employees are able to quickly find what they are looking for which has minimized the amount of requests that my team receives regarding questions on pay or updating personal information.
Online W-2 forms have been a game-changer for us since moving to Netchex. Our staff tend to move around a lot and most do not get the mailed copy of their W-2. The electronic consent has saved me hours and hours of time.
Payroll- easy to view the pay grid, make edits, and even make notes on paystubs. There are quick reports and graphs to double-check everything.
Interface- employees can do so much on their own! Paycor is so easy to navigate and explain to new employees.
Customer Service- I can talk to a real person within 5 minutes!! Or I can even chat with a real person online and not even talk on the phone. And my problems get resolved. No unknown answers they can't figure out.
Support needs to be available more times than just normal business hours.
Tax support is basically non-existent. This seems that it should be TOP NOTCH.
Some of the functionality of the Netchex program could be tweaked. It is not a keyboard friendly program at all. Must mouse your way through. When the program times out, it takes 2 to 3 screens before it really logs you out.
When submitting from Netchex to Dealertrack, it would be nice to show the payroll # or payroll date that has been submitted. Currently once you hit submit, the screen reverts back to the last successful payroll submit. This process is just a bit confusing, especially for new users.
The product is really good overall. The customer service is not the best and the benefits administration is kind of painful. However, the good outweighs the bad. We might get a different benefit admin system that can be integrated into Paycor. My controller doesn't want to switch anything for a [long] time.
I think it is pretty straightforward. It is not a bad thing to say that it is similar to a lot of products in a lot of ways. That's not what this question is asking, though. It's about usability, and I feel that it carries on the easy usability that a lot of other products similar to it have.
The first line CE team is phenomenal. They are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We have had less luck with the responsiveness of the tax department. However, their response time has improved drastically over the past year.
I'd give a zero if that were an option. I currently have multiple requests for support that have not been answered in over a week. I have called their support phone line and usually hung up after waiting for 45 minutes for someone to answer. It is unlikely to get a quick response, EVER, even to urgent problems that effect taxes and benefit submission.
Implementation of any new software is going to be challenging, especially if you are maintaining an existing program concurrently. When it is time for dual-processing (both old and new software) prior to going live, be prepared to be stressed. But trust the process and it will be over soon.
I like that they are not so big that they ignore the small customers. They are also reasonably priced. Their support is excellent, I had worked with ADP in a prior position, and we did not have the same kind of support
Paycor definitely has a leg up on Paychex Flex. This is the system we went from to Paycor and it is much more basic with not as much opportunity for bundling data together and tracking information. Paychex did provide a dedicated customer service rep, which was very helpful, and I do miss that with Paycor. Paylocity is a company I've also used for over 7 years it does have some really good features. I feel Paylocity is more user-friendly but Paycor has more in-depth options and software features that are very helpful.
Associates can easily access their data and make changes to things like their address and direct deposit, saving manager time to focus on more critical tasks within the organization
NetRecruitier has one site that can be posted to multiple job boards with one applicant tracking system
Electronic Onboarding allows us to get information out to the new employee so we can start with expectations on their first day and they know what to expect.
