  • As open-source software, Concrete5 is quick and inexpensive to start building with.
  • There aren't very many experienced Concrete5 developers, so building custom add-ons for specific needs can be costly.

  • Client can manage content easily after handoff.
  • Easily create a small website fast with component building usually taking up the most time.
  • Very limited options of themes and components compared to other platforms.
  • Mobile support was not great when I was using it.

  • Concrete5 has made it much easier for us to stay on top of keeping our websites current.
  • It also allows easy distribution of work load across departments.
  • The "Stack" feature allows us to design something that can be incorporated on many pages. Then by updating the stack all those pages are instantly updated - saving lots of time, and preventing us from overlooking any element that needs an update.
  • Amazing support. I have needed support once, and it was there - human and fast.

  • Because theme development, layouts, and extending the content management tools is so easy, we are able to reuse our current assets so much more relying less on back-end development in order to create intuitive ways for clients to manage their website.
  • Concrete5 has become a staple tool that we showcase to clients as a solution that most other teams have not uncovered and added to their offering, adding an impressively easy to use system that clients get on board with instantly.
  • If there has been anything that has had a negative impact, it would have to be that our team took so long to get on board with CMS platforms with much larger user bases such as WordPress and capitalize on the opportunity to become an industry leader through plugin and theme development.

  • Building our internal tool with Concrete5 increased employee efficiency as they are more independant in their processes and they understand more what they are working with.
  • Quick development process definitely increases our ROI when using Concrete5 on small websites.
  • Training sessions are shorter and occur less often as the interface is easy to learn.

  • It takes certainly less time to build a site with Concrete 5 than, say Wordpress or Drupal.
  • In other situations, the lack of plugins can hinder the development. Since Drupal or Wordpress "have a module for everything", the development must be given to developers.

  • As a developer Concrete5 has been a differentiator as a valuable product that was relatively unknown when I first started using it (in 2010). Many people were already looking for alternatives to "the big three" (Wordpress, Drupal, and Joomla).
  • Concrete5's stable marketplace has allowed the addition of some requested site features that I wasn't ready or willing to create myself at various points over the last four years. This enabled me to deliver on some projects that otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do.

  • Concrete5 is FREE and I was able to find several free addons and themes to work off of. This made it a great investment for us.
  • The content on our website is up to date and constantly changing thanks to the easy user interface. Our staff quickly embraced it and continues to use it.
  • Most importantly it's stable. I've never had downtime.
