Great revenue orchestration tool for lean teams

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

A unique business problem that initially attracted us to Momentum is it's ability to suggest actions and push updates to Salesforce based on call summaries and other autopilots. This is not typically available in revenue intelligence platforms, since their AI functionality can summarize calls and answer questions, but can't typically translate this data outside of the platform. This eliminates a significant portion of admin work (i.e. data entry) for our sales reps so they can spend more time doing higher-value activities, but also maintains data cleanliness/completeness for me as a Revenue Operations Specialist.

Aside from this, our org also makes use of Momentum deal and account rooms to centralize conversations about our customers and prospects. Although this isn't full configured via Momentum, we'd like to solve the use case of aligning our sales, revenue operations, finance, and customer teams on specific account-related topics while also bringing in activity data (calls, meetings) and having a consolidated source-of-truth when it comes to conversation history for a particular account.

Pros

  • As of now, Momentum has the basic functionality of a revenue intelligence platform (call summaries, suggested actions/tasks) while also being lean enough to provide tailored customer support. More specifically, they've been super proactive in scheduling bi-weekly syncs with our team to provide admin support with literally anything (prompt building, settings config, creating deal rooms, setting up slack notifications, autopilot config, etc.)
  • There are niche use cases for our business that Momentum does not yet solve for, but their product team is constantly ingesting feedback (i.e. via monthly "Admin Calls") and iterating on/presenting features that customers are asking for. As someone that's become accustomed to purchasing from vendors that develop features you don't need or care about, Momentum does a great job of directing their efforts towards things their customers truly want.
  • The prompt library Momentum provides has been a great resource for us to create autopilots quickly since we don't have to start from a blank page.
  • Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Cons

  • We've ran into some bugs with provisioning new users, and other small issues in the UI. I think this may be, in part, related to how quickly updates are being pushed to the Momentum platform.
  • Because some of the product features are specifically tailored to customers (other customers that are not us), we tend to get excited as some of their features before realizing there are blockers that prevent Momentum from solving our use case.
  • For example, we wanted to make use of Momentum Retropilot to automatically populate Salesforce Opportuntity records with prospecting information from historical calls/meetings. Retropilot did not solve our use case because newly created Opportunities did not have the ability to retrieve past call data

Return on Investment

  • N/A. Not able to speak to this quite yet. We are currently working with their team to re-configure many features in our current set-up

Momentum Powers Our GTM Systems

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Momentum to power just-in-time alerts to our team's (in Slack), scheduled reports (in Slack), Gong call summaries (in Slack), and AI-powered automation to fill in field values. These alerts in Slack can also include buttons to take further action, I.E. update a stage, status, etc.

These workflows enable faster response times, improved data accuracy, and actionable insights for our teams.

There are many specific use cases within these workflows that support our different sales, marketing, and ops teams. We've seen tremendous time savings from these workflows and it's been able to remove much of the manual chasing of field fill-ins and out-of-compliance opportunities, etc.

Pros

  • Slack alerts based on Salesforce field changes
  • AI-summarization of Gong calls
  • Filling in long text fields leveraging flexible prompting
  • Fantastic support and enablement
  • Easy to use administration

Cons

  • Greater visibility when errors occur and why
  • Better filtering in admin views (i.e. see "Created By" user)
  • Line of sight into roadmap items

Return on Investment

  • Saved time of our reps to locate important events on Salesforce records and then take action
  • Improved data quality and fill rates on long text fields
  • Opportunity velocity has increased
  • Pipeline hygiene has improved

Momentum.io is a tool that keeps growing

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it to record customer calls, and track what sales reps are saying within these calls.

We also use it to automate groupchats when certain things happen on Salesforce, and bring those automations into salesforce.

We kind of use it as a substitute for Gong, and Zapier. It alerts us as leaders in sales to what's being said on the salesfloor, and it allows me to take comments and coach my reps.

Pros

  • Call recording
  • Slack notifications
  • SFDC integration
  • AI summary of calls

Cons

  • Google calendar integration
  • Easier UI for call recordings and searches

Return on Investment

  • Visibility and trackability into key phrases our sales teams use
  • Ability to review and comment on transcripts for easy training and ramping of new hires
  • Easy Groupchats auto opened by Momentum.io on Slack when key SFDC triggers happen
