Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We replaced Showpad with Flockjay, and it was one of the best business decisions we made as an Enablement team. Our problems with Showpad were too many to list, from both the end user and admin perspective. We needed a comprehensive LMS and CMS that was user friendly, flexible to our Onboarding learning paths, and had strong reporting & analytics. We needed to regain our Enterprise Sales team's confidence in our LMS & CMS, which we did with Flockjay, and it's scalability helped ensure the platform could

Flockjay Experience

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am in charge of our GTM onboarding program and leverage Flockjay for our courseware to uplevel the skillsets for our new hires prior to joining us for our live bootcamp experience that is part of their onboarding experience. In addition, as they wrap up the live experience, there is additional courseware that is built in Flockjay to extend the runway of learning for roles anywhere from 60-90 days after their original hire date.

Pros

  • I can appreciate the level of detail available in the consumption reports to allow me to validate progress per learner
  • The platform is user-friendly, and most of my participants feel that it is simple to navigate to find the assets they are searching for in the just-in-time training
  • The exam functionality and visibility for my managers to partner with me in the onboarding experience is key.

Cons

  • It glitches all of the time. I cannot tell you how many times that I have personally experienced it or the users are sharing that course doesn't load or crashes as they are navigating through it
  • I don't like that a course can show 100% complete but the exam wasn't completed or graded to show actual completion for the participant. I require 100% completion before learners "earn the ticket to bootcamp," and they haven't done so if exams haven't been graded.
  • I have a hard time with managers doing their part. I have been told that emails are automated now to remind them but I am not sure if that function is taking place or not. Again, getting 100% completion and buy-in is hard enough, so if there are more automated options where the platform can help accomplish this, it would be welcomed with open arms.

Most Important Features

  • Accountability with participation reporting and visibility
  • Automation in areas to cut back on manual time spent with reporting
  • Be stable. This has gotten better but something like being open on multiple browsers and causing performance issues has to come to an end.

Return on Investment

  • It has let me level set knowledge before our organization makes the investment to fly new hires across the globe to learn in a live workshop-based environment
  • Again, the global audience it allows for the async learning to take place, and it allows our content team to be impactful as we create new learning targeted towards each role's needs
  • It helps unify our sellers by giving them the voice to use with its functionality of a social media platform, as there are examples of how specific tools have been used successfully in the field to fuel the peer-to-peer collaboration

Flockjay for enablement and content management

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Flockjay is our sales enablement content repository. We store all historical enablement calls, content as well as learning courses and product information.

Pros

  • Organization of content
  • Ease of use

Cons

  • Some of the canned display features would be great to turn off (side bars like the related content take up screen space in hubs or pages that really need a full screen view)

Most Important Features

  • Courses for content learning
  • Organization of content - threading how things connect to one another

Return on Investment

  • Improved learning percentages via the course tracking and leadership reviews

In my opinion, Minimally Adequate

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Flockjay is the LMS for internal sales enablement, internal technical enablement, and external customer education. We are forced to use Flockjay for everything related to learning.

Pros

  • I think Flockjay does several things adequately, but nothing particularly well.
  • .
  • .

Cons

  • In my experience, for content creators, the navigation is slow and burdensome. Routine tasks require going through several menu layers.
  • In my experience, for content consumers, the navigation and course presentation is clumsy and disorganized. Although this may be at least partially the fault of our internal admins. I'm not sure how much leeway the platform gives them.
  • Missing functionality: Flockjay has no API. It cannot be integrated with anything.
  • Missing functionality: Flockjay is not xAPI compliant
  • Missing functionality: Flockjay is not SCORM compliant
  • Missing functionality: You cannot import content. The only way to input text is by typing or copy-and-paste.

Most Important Features

  • Management decided to use Flockjay because the sales team was using it, so we already had a license. That appears to be the exclusive feature that was considered for making it the corporate LMS.

Return on Investment

  • It seems to have positively impacted internal adoption of sales procedures.
  • MAU (monthly active users) has dropped precipitously in the customer community compared to our previous LMS. We can't get people to signup for the new platform.

An essential accelerator for training in the insurance industry

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

“We use Flockjay primarily for training and empowerment of our insurance sales team. The platform helps us in three key areas: training new agents by sharing best sales and negotiation calls, structured coaching with customized feedback from managers, and centralized management of all training materials and sales resources. The most significant result has been the reduction of the training cycle from 2 months to 3 weeks, allowing us to have agents operational more quickly in the field.”

Pros

  • excels in semantic search and automatic tagging of training content, allowing any material or best practice to be quickly found even in a vast repository of resources.
  • Offers a highly effective two-way feedback system between representatives and managers, with the ability to request specific coaching on sales cases in real time
  • intelligently automate knowledge sharing, automatically surfacing the most relevant material for each stage of the negotiation in less than five seconds...

Cons

  • The user interface has some navigation problems, especially within the learning paths where the flow is not always intuitive.
  • the autosave feature is not available when creating courses and learning paths, causing potential loss of work
  • integrations with major CRM platforms could be improved to ensure smoother synchronization of data

Most Important Features

  • Sharing the most effective sales calls allows new agents to learn from the best .👍👍
  • automated coaching enables managers to provide immediate and targeted feedback during negotiations allowing agents to continuously improve their sales performance👍
  • intelligent organizations of training content seems useful because it allows agents to quickly find specific information about insurance products or sales strategies when they need it during a negotiation.

Return on Investment

  • Reduced training time for new agents
  • as a result of systematic sharing of best practices and real-time coaching, we have observed a 10-25% improvement in negotiation success rates for the most complex insurance products (we have little data...but that's the current statistic)
  • decreased time for training (to the benefit of time for sales).
