What is MileageWise?

MileageWise is a Web Dashboard and Mobile App solution for creating IRS-Proof Mileage logs. By entering trips to the Web Dashboard or automatically logging miles with the Mobile App users can create IRS-Proof mileage logs even Retrospectively in, according to the vendor, 7 minutes a month. Users can improve already existing Mileage logs by importing them into the Web Dashboard, as the software monitors 70 logical conflicts when processing and correcting a Mileage log to ensure that the result is truly IRS-Proof, meeting Every Expectation. If the user forgets to log a trip, the AdWise feature helps recover lost mileage based on past visits and other patterns and parameters the user sets.

The vendor states that with MileageWise Small Business Owners can get $1,000s of deductions per tax year on their business mileage.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Our music distribution company has been using MileageWise for 2 years now and I have to say that these guys really put the work in in order to provide small business owners with a solution for mileage tracker. The mobile app itself is a great mileage tracking app with lots of features that is also quite simple to use. The many choices for recording distance are fantastic. They never let you down! I was able to arrange it, input all of my mileage from Google Maps for the previous year in the dashboard, and print lovely records. Since it is such a good app, I would actually be willing to spend some money for it. I recommend this program to my friends as well.

Likelihood to Recommend
It's well suited during every-day business trips and personal trips, too. These are the scenarios that our company usually use the app for - tracking business miles. It can be used for non-business mile tracking as well, but honestly I haven't tried it for regular, non-business purposes. I guess less appropriate scenarios in this case are when someone's not driving a car.

Alternatives Considered
MileageWise is just so much more up-to-date than MileIQ. IQ hasn't done a major update for a couple of years (or at least it feels like it), whereas MileageWise is always improving their product. You need to update the app every second week(ish), but it's always worth it, there's always something new coming up on their end.
