What is MongoDB?

MongoDB (from "humongous") is an open source document-oriented database system developed and supported by 10gen. It is part of the NoSQL family of database systems. Instead of storing data in tables as is done in a "classical" relational database, MongoDB stores structured data as JSON-like documents with dynamic schemas (MongoDB calls the format BSON), making the integration of data in certain types of applications easier and faster.

According to the vendor, organizations from cutting-edge startups to the largest companies use MongoDB to create applications never before possible at a fraction of the cost of legacy databases. The vendor says MongoDB is the fastest-growing database ecosystem, with over 10 million downloads, thousands of customers, and over 1,000 technology and service partners.

This will 100% meet up your requirement if the data is of different type. Very easy to use and connecting with other sources and also very much fast and using it by creating a job will work with it very much efficiently. The job triggers the syntax as per requirement and it starts processing the data into the storage centre.

MongoDB is surprisingly easy to use. The team is able to set it up and start working with it almost immediately. There were a few gotchas along the way, mostly when setting it up for production uses, but those were mostly minor and well covered in the documentation. The tool (Compass) provided is also very intuitive and easy to work with. Learning to run queries took a bit of time, but it is mostly due to it being new and very different from how SQL works.

I have been using SQL database for years. Mostly Microsoft products, but from time to time I used SQL based databases. When you start using the database with NoSQL logic for the first time, you have to forget everything you know and learn again. It is definitely not too difficult, and you will find that you can do difficult things more easily here. You will experience what you can do easily on this NoSQL platform, or that you will have difficulties. The important thing is to choose the right database for the right project.

It's easy to get started with and has good support with other technologies and cloud providers. Official GUI client is well made and a big plus for development & management, no need to mess with command line. For someone who is used to write queries in SQL, getting into more complex queries in MongoDB requires some effort.

Having used MongoDB for warehousing with python , i can say it integrates pretty smoothly and is my source for further analytics as well. I have heard from other backend developers and the community that it is a signature combination with nodejs for nosql db backend. Mongo compass really makes it easy to test the queries and look at the existing data schema with summarise option.

NoSQL database systems such as MongoDB lack graphical interfaces by default and therefore to improve usability it is necessary to install third-party applications to see more visually the schemas and stored documents. In addition, these tools also allow us to visualize the commands to be executed for each operation.

I'm not a database expert by any means. But MongoDB has helped lower the barrier to entry in the world of full stack development. It has an expressive and easy to understand syntax and API. Additionally, their documentation is really quite detailed and easy to follow. Anyone with javascript experience should be able to work with it.
