Overall Satisfaction with 6sense

We use 6sense for all our display media, marketing orchestrations between tools (Salesforce, Marketo, tech target), and segmentation of ABM campaigns. We also use it for marketing, sales, and sales development alignment. Opening up visibility between all three teams has helped exponentially in allowing streamlined hand-offs in the follow-up process of leads.

Pros

  • Providing a single pane of glass view.
  • Slice & dice audiences.
  • Integrate with other tools.
  • CSM team provides use cases & best practices regularly.

Cons

  • Having better in tool usage reporting.
  • Not having to publish segments to SF to see in the dashboards.
  • Better in tool profiles (ability to add region & team under profiles) and then being able to filter reports to a person or sales manager would make things more agile.
  • Ability to have smaller display campaign audiences (1-1 ABM style could use improvement).
  • We have seen opps that come from Decision/Purchase are 1.5x the dollar amount.
  • Deals that are opened in Decision/Purchase are 3.4 times more likely to convert.
  • Deals opened in the Decision/Purchase stage convert faster than any other deals for us.
I think 6sense has helped us be very directionally accurate regarding matching signals. Working in IT, we know there are levels and hurdles to our business (security-wise) that other industries may not experience. However, by coupling this information with our other vendors (6ense has an excellent segment integration with Tech Target), we can find some ways around that.
Compared to the other products we vetted, 6sense is a more full-funnel and robust tool that fits our needs. It helps us with marketing orchestration needs, display, and analytics functions, and at the same time, supports sales and sales developers in their efforts. It is a tool with overall alignment across the board.

6sense is well suited to our marketing team's 1-many & 1-few approach. It is also well suited to directing our SDR/Sales follow-up by pointing us in the direction of warmer (decision/purchase) accounts—we've actually incorporated the 6sense stage into our SDR commission structure. Things they are less suited for are 1-1 style campaigns, being agile in the sales intelligence dashboard of taking info from reports and putting it into the filtering, and getting granular down to specific people.
