Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Analytics
It is being used across most of the organization. We are able to gather data on how our customers are using our websites, where they are coming from, where they are exiting, how often they engage, what items are most clicked, overall usage, etc. We can also pull reports to give to our stakeholders to compare how our products are doing compared to previous years.
Pros
- Pulls past history for comparison. I can pull in any data range (comparing months or years). This allows me to see how my product does in one time frame versus another.
- Referral reports - I get to see where my customer is coming from and where they go when they leave. It shows what is most effective
- Geographical reports - I'm able to really see who my customer is (geographic location, etc.)
Cons
- Referral reports - I do feel that Adobe Analytics too often allows for crawlers or will give me "undetermined/undefined" information on where my customer is going after exiting the page
- Easier usage of segments - Honestly not sure if our department did not set up correctly but I feel that too often I am recreating segments.
- This has increased accuracy with our story. We are able to better back up our marketing plans through real time data.
- Allowed us to see what is working and fix our plans accordingly. If we see that one product has many more visitors on a particular day we can review what other marketing things we did that day that may have effected it.
Google Analytics is very similar though maybe a bit more user friendly. I believe you need less training to use Google Analytics. We do pull very similar data to Adobe Analytics. QlikView pulls completely different information for us. We are able to really understand email campaigns with QlikView and get into the nitty gritty of each specific emails statistics.
