Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Sign

Adobe eSign is being used primarily by our sales organization for execution of agreements and statements of work, which reduces our time to close by enabling an electronic signature process. It is also used by our HR department during the new hire process, making it easier for employees to complete the onboarding process.
  • We have integrated Adobe eSign with our instance of Salesforce.com. The integration is seemless to the end user, which makes sending agreements for signature a user-friendly experience.
  • The majority of our clients allow us to use an electronic signature process, and have not experienced any issues with the Adobe eSign experience.
  • Adobe eSign allows the recipient to delegate signing authority to someone else with in their organization, enabling us to forward statements of work to the client for review prior to their sending for internal signature.
  • Adobe eSign allows multiple signers within each organization.
  • Adobe eSign allows you to establish the order in which a document will be signed.
  • Adobe eSign allows you to write a custom message to the recipient.
  • It is very easy to create custom fields for the recipient to complete during the signing process.
  • Adobe eSign allows you to see where the document is in the signing process. It date/time stamps each step, from sending to view to sign for each person.
  • We have experienced some challenges in getting answers from Adobe eSign as it relates to its integration with Salesforce when Salesforce announces significant changes to their org. Otherwise, Adobe eSign support has been very good.
  • As a long-time client of Adobe eSign, the one area for improvement that applies to us specifically is the grandfathering of pricing. When we initially signed up for eSign, we had a larger pool of users. While our license needs have dropped since initial signing, we have retained our original license count so that we can keep the best pricing. If we were to switch to a lower count, they will no longer honor our pricing and it will cost us more. While I understand their logic, it just seems like a strange approach to take.
  • The challenge with Salesforce has increased with Salesforce's two platforms (Classic and Lightning). Adobe Sign has become more difficult to upgrade because of Salesforce (we are working on the "forced" move to Lightning.
  • I wish I could provide a real ROI achieved by our use of Adobe eSign, but I cannot. It's just too difficult to track how much time is saved by using an electronic signature process. I can say that our end-users are pleased that they always know where their document is in the signing process, making it much easier for them to chase the appropriate person to keep things moving along.
If you get the right person at Adobe Sign, their support is great. But if you get a newer person, it usually requires moving up a tier as the first person doesn't know as much as they should. It can get frustrating. Also, Adobe Sign recently eliminated the ability to log a case via email ... which means a few more steps to getting help.
I would have score Adobe Sign with a 9, but their recent change in getting support knocks them down a notch in my eyes. I like the convenience of just sending an email ... it is cumbersome to have to go into their app and log a case now.

During our evaluation process 6 years ago (and re-review at each renewal), we felt Adobe eSign's integration with Salesforce and the end-user experience was far better than DocuSign. We have evaluated DocuSign at nearly every renewal cycle and find that their solution remains less desirable. DocuSign is cumbersome and based on my personal experience in signing something using DocuSign, the end user experience is not nearly as easy as Adobe eSign.
Adobe eSign is well suited to an organization wanting to integrate an electronic signature solution with Salesforce.com. The integration is seemless to the end user and very user friendly. It can be used for essentially any signing scenario you can think of, but it is very well suited for signing legal agreements, as you can place fields for various bits of information as well as the signature block.

Adobe Sign Experience

Adobe Sign integrated easily with Salesforce until Salesforce launch a 2nd platform. Now it's a bit more challenging only because we haven't transitioned to Lightning. The tool itself is extremely easy to use within Salesforce, or even with their online app. It's user friendly for the sender and for the recipient as well.
Adobe eSign is being used primarily by our sales organization for execution of agreements and statements of work, which reduces our time to close by enabling an electronic signature process. For this purpose, it is integrated with Salesforce. It has made obtaining a signature on an agreement a much easier, faster and more efficient. It is also used by our HR department during the new hire process, making it easier for employees to complete the onboarding process.
Adobe Sign is very reliable, and creates efficiency in our agreement execution process by streamlining the user and recipient experience. It makes it so much easier to "do business" and recipients are pleased with the ease of use.
Adobe Sign makes the electronic signature process simple. Assisting us in getting to a signed agreement more quickly and efficiently. Because of it's integration capability, you don't have to leave your primary application to send something out for signature.

Using Adobe Sign

Sales and HR are the two groups that use Adobe Sign within our organization. Sales uses to close deals (get agreements signed) and HR uses for the hiring process (onboarding paperwork requirement completion and signatures).
1 - I provide our team with internal support on Adobe Sign. I train all of the users in the use of the tool and, where applicable, how to use the integration point within Salesforce.com.
  • Sales - getting legal agreements signed
  • HR - employee onboarding
  • Partner Governance - getting subcontracting/teaming/other agreements signed
  • I don't think we have used Adobe Sign in an unexpected or innovative way.
  • It is seamless for our sales organization and HR function.
  • Right now, we have not uncovered additional uses for Adobe Sign.
  • The licensing is flexible enough to integrate, but our business process are very controled.
Adobe Sign is a great product and is very user friendly. Each renewal I compare it to DocuSign ... really to see if DocuSign has improved the user experience. And each time we decide to stay with Adobe Sign. The pricing for Adobe Sign is significantly less as well.

Evaluating Adobe Sign and Competitors

  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
The product features was our most important factor, although pricing did play a role. Adobe Sign just integrated better with Salesforce. Their presentations were just that much better (they were prepared, knew their product, and gave a spot on demo).
I doubt we would change much, although we might address some of the challenges with Salesforce classic vs. lightning. But that is a Salesforce challenge really. We did a thorough evaluation of 3 products and by far Adobe Sign was heads above the other two.

With Salesforce push to Lightning, we were challenged with getting classic to work for us. I "got lucky" and got the "right" support person at Adobe Sign that knew a work around. He has us up and running in Classic quickly and was a pleasure to work with. Mind you, this was not his problem, but he knew how to work around the issue.

  • Integration with Salesforce was fairly easy, but Adobe Sign was right there with us getting us set up.
  • Sending agreements out for signature is a breeze!
  • Signing an agreement is equally easy.
  • Nothing that I have found.
