Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Premiere Pro

Premiere Pro is being used by our Marketing & Communications department to effectively tell stories through video to supporters of our brand on social media and on the web. This software allows us to create long form and short form videos. These videos are seen by thousands of users.

Pros

  • Audio synchronizing (multicam).
  • Colour correction.

Cons

  • Legacy titles could be upgraded.
  • Preview window functions could be upgraded.
  • Quick turnaround time.
  • Quick render time.
Many other producers and editors prefer to use Adobe Premiere Pro over other industry alternatives because it is so widely used across post-secondary institutions and companies across the world. It can be used in conjunction with multiple other Adobe products (e.g. Photoshop & After Effects). Premiere Pro has many more features than its competitors.
Technical support for Adobe Premiere Pro is fantastic. You can send error reports directly to Adobe. Since it runs on the Creative Cloud, if there is ever an error with your software you can simply re-download the application. There are also terrific online forums offered from Adobe as well as countless training videos across many different sites.

Adobe Premiere Pro is the industry standard for editing videos to create compelling stories. It is well suited to edit multi-camera interviews and can be used in conjunction with Adobe After Effects templates. It is less appropriate to use for animation/typography style videos and 3D render style of videos. It also has great online user forums and tutorials.
