Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

ADP Workforce is currently used as our HRIS system, Time and Attendance tracker, COBRA administrator and Payroll processing. We utilize ADP across the whole organization. It helps that we are able to keep all employee information in the same system for easy access. It is also helpful that we can control different access levels for different employees such as Managers, Supervisors, HR, etc.

Pros

  • So much can be done in ADP. This makes it easy to manage employees and all of their information.
  • "Talking" to other systems. We are able to have a file feed connection with most other systems we have to help streamline updating information.

Cons

  • ADP Support is hit or miss. We have a dedicated specialist but they typically refer us to the main customer service line. There is usually a long hold time and many times, issues aren't resolved with one call.
  • Although online OE is a good feature, it would be nice to be able to customize it a little more. We have hoped to be able to add address and phone number updating as well with no luck. This adds another step to the process.
  • It has allowed us to keep everything in one system which saves money year after year.
The system can handle most things but the issue we have run into most has been our rules for attendance and how our accruals calculate. We apparently have too many rules and it confuses the system and sometimes causes it to show incorrect information which has to be manually adjusted.
  • Attendance Counts
  • Principal Financial

Attendance Counts has a file feed to transfer attendance information in order to track attendance occurrences from each employee's timecard in ADP.

Principal transfers general information such as an address, SSN & other personal info.

Lincoln Financial has a weekly file feed to transfer information from ADP regarding each employee's benefit selections for Life, Short Term Disability & Long Term Disability.

These were fairly easy to have set up. The collaboration was mainly between ADP and each company to set up with minimal effort on our end.

ADP is similar to Paycom but I think Paycom was a bit more user-friendly. ADP Time and Attendance is much easier to use than Kronos was. In my experience, I was using an older version of Kronos.
ADP WFN is well suited for any company, big or small for managing employee information. It is fairly user-friendly and can be used by many users at different levels. It may not be suited for some smaller companies based on the pricing. If your company has multiple attendance rules, ADP may not be able to handle it which can cause issues. So if your attendance policy is simple, it would work better.
