Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now
We switched to ADP Workforce Now in April 2020. We use it for our entire family-owned business of about 115 employees. It was supposed to make things easier for us with scheduling, time and attendance, and payroll all being integrated together. It has been a mess from day one. The software doesn't do things the salespeople told me it would do. The everyday normal payroll stuff works fine, but anytime there is something out of the ordinary, it is a huge hassle. Support is based in the Philippines and there are major communication issues. Two-plus hour support calls are not out of the ordinary.
The biggest issues have been with Payroll tax filing. The salespeople told me it would be simple to not use their tax filing, because of my concerns about cashflow. I was told they would provide all the completed forms and I could just make the payments directly to the taxing entities myself. However, the "non-tax-filing" customer is totally left out in the cold, without ADP providing any of the forms, contrary to what they told me. It took them many months to get the right report for me to file unemployment, and we ended up having to sacrifice the cashflow and go to being a "full-tax-filing" customer with ADP.

Selected ADP because I thought the software was better. It ended up being the wrong choice.
