Overall Satisfaction with Airtable

We began using Airtable as a simple, easy-to-implement solution for tracking images in our products. Since then, we have expanded our use of Airtable to handle all our CRM needs, as well as our marketing lists and social media management. We are also considering using Airtable for some of our content development workflow needs.

Airtable is, by far, the best blend of power, flexibility, ease-of-use, and cost for online databases. Non-specialists are able to begin using the product quickly and effectively. This is a great product for a fantastic price. I highly recommend it.
  • Airtable is straightforward and presents the power of a relational database in the familiar form of spreadsheets.
  • Airtable provides many visual enhancements that make it easy to customize tables for the needs of specific teams or projects.
  • Airtable makes it easy to create separate or granular tables for smaller projects and individual teams, and to assign ownership of or access to those tables.
  • Airtable sacrifices power by limiting the extensibility of the product and its features. If you're wanting to do more advanced database management and reporting it might not meet your needs.
  • Airtable lacks some conditional formatting features that experienced spreadsheet and database users might find annoying.
  • Airtable does not appear to provide all the features necessary for use as a full-service project management tool.
  • Airtable reduces our need for professional development training. The product's ease of use makes our staff more efficient and allows them to implement new projects faster.
  • Airtable saves us money on the software side. It is less expensive than comparable products we have investigated and allows us to consolidate multiple software needs into one product.
  • Airtable allows my managers to find data and report on productivity faster and with greater independence. It is intuitive enough that they can move beyond templates and create their own custom tables and views.
Our needs are broad and general. We needed a trued database solution that would take us beyond spreadsheet management, and also a product that could be used for CRM and project management. Airtable was the only solution we found that could meet all our needs at an affordable price. What it lacks in features for some task-specific applications -- CRM and project management-- it makes up for in ease of use, flexibility, and price. It may not be the best at any one thing, but for our business, it can do more than other products.
Airtable is ideal for database management of pre-defined or well-structured information used in specific business/professional scenarios. It is less suited for use as an extensible RDMS or project management tool.
