Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

I use Articulate 360, both Storyline and Rise, to create captivating, innovative, and interactive e-learning experiences. The product allows for customized asynchronous e-learning development. With Rise, the e-learning courses are fully responsive, which is key for today’s busy learners who value flexibility and mobility. I have used Articulate 360 to create learning for numerous industries and topics including transportation, animal training, technology, upskilling, customer service, manufacturing, agriculture, and many more.

Pros

  • Responsive platform with Rise
  • Full customization of e-learning features with Storyline
  • Fantastic AI integration which improves workflow and saves time
  • Great customer service

Cons

  • A trigger that resets all variables or a selection of variables would be useful.
  • Enabling objects to smoothly change their size along a motion path.
  • Adding the morph transition to layers.
  • Adding features form Maestro Mighty to Rise so they are native.
  • An auto-save function for Storyline.
  • A function in Rise that would allow for leaderboards or real-time feedback from participants if using for VILT or ILT.
  • Improved customer service.
  • Responsive training.
  • Customized learning solutions including gamification.
I use Storyline and Rise, along with AI Assistant to create e-learning solutions. Review is extremely helpful for receiving and implementing feedback. Because it aligns the feedback with screenshots of specific slides or blocks, it makes implementation of that feedback easy and seamless. It is also great that users to not need an account to use Review.
I have not used Ai assistant for course creation yet. However, I have used the AI assistant to create images, audio, and closed captioning. I’m looking forward to using the AI assistant in Rise and I have yet to try using the AI Assistant to help create assessment questions. I’m excited to try it all out and Articulate just keeps making it better!
I did not give it a 10, because Storyline has a high learning curve. That said, it is so customizable that I would never ask for any of the functionality to be removed. Rise is extremely easy to use and does not have a high learning curve, but it is less customizable than Storyline. Both are great products!
Adobe Captivate was frustrating to use. The formatting is not customizable and it feels very limited. Some people compare it to Rise, but it feels like Storyline with limited functions. It does not look as polished as Rise when published and, in my experience, the fonts that are used in development do not appear for the learner unless they have them installed on their device. This causes formatting issues and frustration.

Do you think Articulate 360 delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Articulate 360's feature set?

Yes

Did Articulate 360 live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Articulate 360 go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Articulate 360 again?

Yes

Articulate 360 is well suited for asynchronous learning. It is not as ideal for ILT. It can, with some creativity, be used for VILT and for synchronous learning. Storyline is ideal for developers who are seeking maximum control over their development and Rise is ideal for rapid development. Storyline can have a higher learning curve due to its high level of customization.
