Overall Satisfaction with Braze

We utilize Braze for email and SMS and send transactional and promotional emails, which also included trigger emails. Before switching to Braze, we had email and SMS on separate platforms so now are planning to implement more use cases of tying SMS with triggered emails.
Having everything connected is great for seamlessly connecting everything.

Pros

  • AI Assistant that helps create you create Liquid Logic and easily updates as needed.
  • Performance Report- easily able to look at heatmap and gain better insight on what works and what doesn't
  • Testing Users when creating canvases or SMS campaigns to see how a specific user will see the messaging, particularly useful when implementing liquid

Cons

  • For SMS, when getting AI suggestions, I would prefer to be able to toggle with the options and copy and paste, but still be able to go back to the options given instead of having to start over.
  • When setting up Entry Criteria, being able to say on this date instead of less than or more than.
  • Reduced costs.
  • Had IP warming issues which did result in lower revenue
It overall can be a fairly easy platform to use and the technical parts can be mostly resolved using the Braze Assistant, but certain ways to implement email and SMS can be a bit more tedious than needed.
The cross-channel functionality has helped with providing a more seamless integration between email and SMS and therefore providing more ways to interact with your customers. The merging of duplicate profiles also helps with our customers since they are older and some tend to have landlines on their profiles instead of cell phone numbers so we can easily merge both accounts to one.
Acoustic was becoming too expensive and we had email and SMS with separate providers so we were looking for a way to cut costs and merge into one provider.
Both Acoustic and Attentive were becoming very expensive as well and Braze provided all the functionalities that we were looking for.
